God took Jeongguk to a place where the meteors couldn't be seen. What secret message could he possibly be telling him?

“Jeon Jungkook, everything got messed up because of you.”

God suddenly began to blame Jeongguk. Jeongguk was simply dumbfounded by God's sudden accusation of him, even though he was somehow involved in Yoo-seong's death.

“What do you mean? Everything got messed up because of me.”

“Because you taught Yoo-seong emotions, Yoo-seong’s fate changed, and your fate changed too.”

“What the... Fate just keeps changing. And it's only Yooseong and I who've changed our fates. Is that something to be so upset about?”

"It doesn't matter if you and Meteor are the only ones who switched places. But isn't there anyone around you? There are so many people around you. By changing your fate, the fates of those around you also change. What happens then? The fates of those around you will also change. And then the laws of the Earth will collapse."

“The order of the Earth collapses just because fate changes…?”

"Just fate? Don't talk about fate so lightly. Everyone's fate is determined from birth. For example, let's say someone suddenly decides not to take their usual bus due to a sudden change of heart. Then, the news reports that the bus crashed, killing all the passengers and the bus driver. Does that change their fate? No. That was just their fate. It's not their destiny. Until you taught Yoo-seong emotions, no one's fate had ever changed."

“Is fate determined from birth…?”

"Yes. Your fate, and Yoo-seong's, was already predetermined. Shall I tell you yours? You were originally destined to be unable to cut Jeon Jeong-woo out of your life, to continue to harbor him, and ultimately to die for him. If I hadn't harbored feelings for Yoo-seong, I wouldn't have given you that advice." (Reference to Episode 18)

“Then what was Yoo Seong’s original fate?”

"He would continue to grant wishes, and then, after fulfilling his mission, he would die like the previous Meteors. Though he would suffer some misfortune, he would be reincarnated with a destiny filled with happiness. That is the destiny of Meteors."

“What is this changed fate?”

“I can’t tell you that. I don’t know what you might do.”

“It’s not a good fate if you don’t know what I might do.”

“If you hadn’t taught Yoo-seong emotions, he would have been expelled and reincarnated happily by now.”

“……Then, if you don’t teach Yooseong any more emotions right now, how happy can Yooseong be?”

“It’s already too late.”

"excuse me…!"

Still, holding onto a glimmer of hope, he called out to God. A sudden headache struck, and Jungkook stopped talking and clutched his head. A crushing headache surged through him, blurring his vision and making the world tremble. Jungkook, sensing that this must be the feeling of waking from a dream, spoke softly.

“Please, Yooseong… make me happy…”

When he opened his eyes, his phone alarm was blaring loudly next to him. Feeling the ringing as if it were piercing into his brain, Jungkook turned it off, frustrated. He'd never felt this depressed before, nor had he felt this depressed before. How did this happen? Jungkook sighed as he washed his face dry. "If I hadn't met Yoosung in the first place, maybe this wouldn't have happened," he muttered, heading to the bathroom to wash up.

As soon as he entered the bathroom, Jungkook slipped and nearly fell. He grabbed the sink and straightened his wobbly body. He almost fell backwards and hit his head on the floor. In his eighteen years of life, he had never almost slipped in the bathroom once. Jungkook had a bad feeling about something, but he dismissed it as a coincidence and turned on the water. Then, water came out of the shower head, drenching him completely. Because he had turned on the water with all his clothes on, intending to wash his face and brush his teeth first, he ended up soaking wet.

"what's this……"

It didn't matter since he was going to take everything off anyway, but it felt weird to see his clothes getting wet. Jungkook finished showering feeling uneasy.

Today was the weekend, so there was nowhere to go, but he felt like he would feel even more depressed if he stayed at home, so Jungkook dragged his listless body outside.

Bad things that never happened before started happening, and it made him feel uneasy... Perhaps it was a warning to be careful, for worse things might happen. If Jeongguk had noticed this and not gone out, perhaps he could have avoided that fate. No, perhaps this was all Jeongguk's predetermined fate, as God had said. A fate that could never be changed. An inevitable fate.
