I stared blankly at Minho like that.

“Oh... he’s gone off the rails.”
Minho sprang to his feet from his seatand held out his hand.
When I grabbed his big hand and stood up,
my head spun from the dizziness.
Without even knowing where we were going, I was led along by that hand.
I walked and walked some more.
The place we arrived at was a convenience store.
I followed behind Minho with unsteady steps.
“Wait here for a sec.”
Minho sat me down on a chair and then headed somewhere.
The sound of barcodes and the part-time worker’s voice mixed together.
Before long, Minho came back
and pressed a candy and some chocolate milk into my hand.
Seeing me just holding the chocolate milk with my strength gone,
he got impatient and stuck a straw into the milk himself
then shoved it up in front of my mouth.

“Drink this a bit, come on, say ah.”
When we went back to the store,
only the male part-timers and the owner were left at their seats.
Minho tilted his head and asked,
“What, where’d everyone go?”
“They said they had to catch the last train, so I sent them off early.”
The owner answered in a drunken, slurred voice
and clinked glasses with the male part-timers.
To shake off my foggy mind,
I took a sip of the chocolate milk I’d gotten earlier.
“Everyone, have one of these.”
“Oh, wow, Minho’s got such great taste.”
Out of the bag hanging from one arm,
ice cream spilled out.
Everyone reached into the bag
to pick out an ice cream one by one,
and while they did, Minho snatched my glass
and secretly filled it with water instead of alcohol.
About an hour passed.
Unable to turn down the 계속되는 drink offers,
and because I’d had several drinks in a row,my stomach kept churning.
My head was heavy, and my vision kept getting blurrier.
Minho must have been worried about me like that,
because he took my drinks in my place several times.
When the owner and the part-timers went out of the store with cigarettes in hand,
I followed out on shaky legs and took a cigarette in my mouth.
Minho snatched the cigarette from my mouthand bonked my head.
“Ow, why’d you hit me?”

“If you smoke, you’ll be out cold.”
The atmosphere of the company dinner grew more and more lively.
While I was resting with my head against the wall for a moment,
I turned my head slightly to look at Minho.

Minho, with not a trace of drunkenness, was sipping his alcohol.
I shifted my gaze
to the owner and the part-timers laughing uproariously.
Listening to the sound of people chattering,
I slowly blinked my heavy eyelids.
