I couldn't stay here forever.
Drinking water would gradually run out, and the same was true for food.
In the end, I decided to go look for resources.
For some reason, I wasn't afraid as long as I was with this person by my side.
Leaving behind the zombies that were biting each other without recognizing one another, I set out on the road.
The nearby convenience store was already almost completely looted.
It might have been only natural. Especially in a crowded, bustling downtown area.
“Excuse me! Are you a human?”
A person shouted from outside the convenience store's glass door.
The zombies rushed at that person.
“H... Gasp—!”
A person was torn apart right before my eyes. It was a gruesome sight, unrecognizable beyond recognition.
That night, I entered a different building. It was my home for the night.
I spoke up in the silence.
“You know... the person I saw this morning... I wonder if they died a painful death?”
He answered my question.
“I don’t know if you died a painful death, but I won’t let you end up like that. Because I’ll protect you.”
P.S. I went into hiding because I had absolutely no ideas, but I saw the comments on the phone and quickly wrote this! Sorry for the delay. 🙇♀️
