Next to the recording studio

Extra - Horror

An old recording studio in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. You work as an engineer for an independent label, and recently received a request for a private recording from a famous artist. The agency remains undisclosed, and there's only one condition: Recording after 11 p.m. Just the two of us. When you arrived at the studio on the first day, she was sitting quietly. IU. Her face was expressionless, her eyes makeup-free. "Are you ready to record?" Her words were gentle, but her voice was strangely emotionless. As the recording began, something even stranger happened. Her vocals, coming through the headphones, were eerily precise, and impossibly high notes were captured clearly. But the waveform graph was shaking. The recorded waveform...wasn't two people's voices, but something else overlapping. At first, I thought it was white noise. But it was clearly multiple voices. Whispers, giggles, even the sound of a woman crying...

“Just now… did you hear it again?”

When you asked cautiously, IU tilted her head.

“What is it?”

“...what kind of sound is that behind it…”

She smiled quietly, her expression fading for the first time.

“I hear that all the time. Every time I sing this song.”
