PRETENDER

02. I wish I had never had to wait for you

I wait for you today, too.
You may not come.
Still, I wait. I can’t tell how many hours will pass.
Still, I think you’ll come when it’s time to come.
Today has become a day when I waited for you.But on the day of our next meeting, you may end up waiting for me.
We’ll probably stand in the same place, waiting for each other.
People look at us. I don’t know if you feel the same as I do.
Waiting alone, thinking alone, sinking too deeply alone, and pulling myself back out alone—that’s me… or us?
Maybe it’s better to say us rather than calling it alone. These thoughts that won’t stop, this heart overflowing with worry too.I can’t find the answer to whether this is love, waiting, or loneliness, but still, I think it’s better for me to wait like this than to hurt you.
I’ve already long since recognized that wall that says I have to wait a little longer.
Still, if possible, I don’t want to keep waiting for you any longer.
Is there a reason we should keep getting to know each other?
What percentage reason is there to keep this state going?
How much longer do I have to keep this relationship going?
Today, my perfect one-man show cracked.
‘How long are you going to keep doing this? Is there really any forward movement for us?’

Today is like yesterday again…
I waited for you once more.
When I got up from my seat, people all looked at me at once. But I don’t care. I’m just an extra in my one-man show.
Today, the one-man show comes to an end like that.
