Can We Start Again 9 - Subtitle: Min-gyu's Story. 1
Min-gyu's point of view

Well, where did it start? Where did it go wrong?
I first met him about six months after I started college. Jungkook, a high school friend and fellow student, introduced me to him, saying he was in the same department as me and had a weak health, so he asked me to take better care of him. He was shy and often sick, but he was also cheerful. We exchanged phone numbers, took classes together, and met up separately, quickly becoming close. I don't even know when my feelings for him first began. About a year and a half after we first met, I confessed my feelings to him. He seemed confused and avoided answering, so I pursued him for several days, begging him to say no, even if it meant saying no. Eventually, I got a yes, and after we started dating, Jungkook scolded me and nagged me. He told me I was fragile, so don't hurt him.
-
At the time, I just let it slide. I thought I wouldn't hurt him. About a year into our relationship, my brother graduated and we started living together. He worked as a freelancer, so he spent a lot of time at home, and I was still a student, so I went out more often. He would always welcome me home, but I didn't expect anything from him. However, after I graduated, about six months ago, I started to tire of my brother's inability to express himself. I thought it was just a whim, so I kept it to myself.
Then, two months later, I met Eunseo. She was, well... I guess I was suddenly attracted to her. I started dating her naturally, and about four months later, things started to go wrong. I hadn't had a drink with my classmates in a while, so I lost control and ended up getting too drunk. Either one of them called my brother, or my brother, worried, contacted me and found out the location, but Wonwoo showed up at the meeting place. I frowned slightly, slightly annoyed, and he came over and sat next to me with a worried expression. After a brief conversation with his classmates, he quickly helped me up. After that... I don't remember. What I vaguely remember is my brother crying.
Yeah, that's all I remember so clearly.
-
When I first woke up, I couldn't grasp the situation, so I thought it was just a dream. I didn't know why he was crying, or why the image of him crying was stuck in my head. I looked around to figure out what was happening, and only after seeing him sleeping under the covers, suffering did I begin to realize I'd driven him to a state of insanity the night before.
I went to the kitchen and downed a glass of cold water to gather my thoughts. Feeling guilty for being so harsh the night before, I took some painkillers and fever reducers with water to my room. Thinking it would be best to take some medicine and get some sleep, I gently woke him up. As soon as our eyes met, he groaned and rolled over, avoiding my gaze. At first, I thought he was angry or upset, so I apologized and tried to calm him down.
"Hyung, Wonwoo. I'm sorry. Take your medicine and go to sleep, okay?"
As I continued to soothe him, I noticed something strange. Every time I called him, he started to tremble. It wasn't anger or frustration, but rather fear. The moment I realized that, I was immediately irritated.
"Jeon Won-woo. Are you scared of me?"
As soon as he spoke in a firm voice, he grabbed the blanket he was holding onto even tighter, so much so that the veins in his hands were visible, and pulled the blanket up to his head. This made me feel annoyed again.
"Haa, what is it again? Why are you doing this?"
With my body trembling once again, I unconsciously slammed the water glass down on the table and got up from my seat.
"..I don't know either. Do it yourself, hyung."
I gritted my teeth, got up, spoke, and left the room. As soon as I took my phone out of the backpack I always carried, countless alarms started ringing. My friends and Eunseo. I sent a few texts to my friends and called Eunseo. When she asked why I didn't answer, I apologized, saying I had too much to drink. When she asked if I was feeling okay, I could hear worry in her voice. She said I needed to sober up, and when she said she would buy me something, I said I would leave right away, and changed my clothes.
Until then, everything seemed fine.
-
From that day on, Wonwoo noticeably avoided me. It was so frustrating, I, too, deliberately avoided him. About two weeks later, on my way home from a visit with friends, I ran into him leaving the house. His face was pale, as if he wasn't feeling well. When I asked where he was going, he visibly shook, saying he was going to the hospital. Since I had an appointment soon, I simply said goodbye and went back to my room to rest for a while.
Since I don't remember anything, I guess Eunseo and Wonwoo had been drinking heavily again. The next morning, Eunseo told me that Wonwoo had met me when she got home. She brought some fruit, suggesting we eat together and give some to him. I told her he was still sleeping, and he left me a note, telling me not to disturb him while he was sleeping, before taking my hand. After about 30 minutes at the park, I came back to find Wonwoo rummaging through the drawer near the TV, looking for something.
"Min-gyu, you're here... Oh, Eun-seo is here..."
"I'm back," he said, and his face looked strangely sad. He deliberately looked at Eunseo and suggested they eat some fruit. She smiled brightly as she peeled the fruit with a knife, then called out to her brother as he was about to enter the room.
"Wonwoo? Can I call you Wonwoo oppa?"
"Oh, yes... whatever you want..."
Eunseo called him over to eat with her, but he deliberately stared at him coldly, saying that he was very shy. Eunseo, who was watching him as he was about to enter his room, was startled and called out to him again.
"Oppa Wonwoo, there's blood on your hands..."
Before we arrived, Eunseo left a note saying she cut her hand while trying to eat fruit. I must have forgotten to tell her about moving the first aid kit, so she was looking for it where it used to be. When I told her where it was, my brother went to the shoe cabinet to find it, and Eunseo said she would treat his hand and sat him down on the sofa. My brother, who had been fidgeting while Eunseo worked so intently, said he was feeling better and went into his room, saying he wasn't feeling well. Even after he left, I was a little jealous of Eunseo's continued concern for him, so I threw a tantrum. She smiled and hugged me..
