Flame

My love is always terminal.

But this time, it’s a little different.

Even as time passes, it doesn’t disappear.

It burns brighter every day.

Fire will one day go out, leaving only the ash that’s just residue, but

this blaze isn’t like that.

But it’s so cruel, isn’t it?

The terminal diagnosis that even came to lovers

why won’t it come to a one-sided love?

It hurts.

It really hurts.

They say even one-sided love is forgotten someday, but

even during the 4 months I couldn’t see you, I couldn’t forget you.

I suffer every day.

I even tried pouring water on it, but

what I poured turned out to be oil.

I tried everything I could, but

in the end, it flared up again.

It died down for a moment and then burned again.

But I heard

that you got a lover.

What am I supposed to do?

I should’ve at least tried setting it off once.

I should’ve at least tried confessing.

If I’d been rejected, it wouldn’t hurt this much,

like this,

and I wouldn’t have burned up in that flame.
