Towards You: The Last Chapter_Towards You

“Young man, who are you waiting for?”

An old woman with a severely hunched back and white hair that suited the winter approached the man and spoke to him.

“I am waiting for the person I love.”

The man spoke without a moment's hesitation. The old woman, hearing his words, looked at him with pity and opened her mouth.

“Don’t just wait around. Don’t just wait for that person to come to you. Sometimes it’s better to approach them first.”

The grandmother finished speaking alone and looked up at the sky. After a brief silence, she smiled at the man and slowly walked forward toward the blurred road ahead.

“Sometimes I approach first….”

After hearing the grandmother's words, the man paused for a moment. Then, he thought back on what the grandmother had said and smiled faintly.

The man's legs, which had not moved since it was late, began to move slowly. Hard and lightly.

The man regains the hope of meeting someone he had momentarily forgotten while immersed in the impatience of waiting, and his heart, which had grown cold, begins to warm up again.

A man waits. His hair down, matching his warm padding, he eagerly moves his feet in comfortable sneakers, waiting for someone. He approaches someone, waiting for the joy of meeting, and with him, the weather, waiting for the flowers and trees to sprout new leaves, is moving toward spring.
