Night Flight

It's still dawn, before the sun has risenโ€”a lonely dawn.

As always, I'm awake too.

The world seems asleep, but I'm awake.

Every night, the time that comes to me is just too heavy to bear.

I can hardly breathe, and it feels stifling.

As if I were sunk under water, with my limbs bound.

The view outside the window looks the same every day.

No, maybe it changes a little with each season.

In weather like this, a clear night sky has a few stars pinned into it.

How beautiful they are, how lovely. It's hard to put into words.

The thoughts that never make it out of my mouth each night,

I just leave them as thoughts, while looking at the stars.

It's still a lonely dawn.

The night breeze has seeped into the room.

It's that damp, stuffy breeze, as always.

In this low semi-basement, someday, all the way up to those stars above,

until I can reach them, I have to endure this night.

Through this water-like place, swimming toward those stars.

"I'll fly through the night."

Night flight.
