TALK | If you send a KakaoTalk message to a handsome blind date who is rumored to be cold
"Hey, Yeoju, how long do you plan on being single? You're twenty-five now? Get a grip and start dating."
"Oh, sis... Don't beat me up. Instead, give me some New Year's wishes. If you come out like this, I'll be in trouble."
"Go on a blind date. I was talking to my boyfriend recently and he said he'd set you up on a blind date, so go ahead and go. Hey, love is all about timing, huh? He's incredibly handsome, and I heard he's in a pretty high position at work for his young age."
“Oh, you know I’m uncomfortable in this kind of situation.”
"Seriously, just stop talking and get out. You know this girl's taste, don't you? She's just your style. I'll send you the time and place, hang up~"
I'm 25 years old. Maybe it's because I've been running forward diligently to succeed, but I don't remember having a proper relationship since I turned 20. An older friend who was watching me from the side clicked her tongue and told me to definitely go on a blind date, then sent off the time and place.
"This girl does this every day. Oh my... I guess I should go out anyway."
This past Christmas, I felt a little more lonely than usual, but I wasn't desperate enough to make a special occasion to meet someone new. However, since it was a gathering hosted by someone I knew, I couldn't act selfishly, so I decided to go on a blind date, hoping to have a nice meal.
Ding-
"Hello. Are you Kim Taehyung?"

"Oh, yes. You're Ms. Lee Yeo-ju, right? Please sit down."
After opening the door and going in, I told the staff member my reservation name and they guided me to a fairly private room. After carefully opening the door and going in, a man with a rather cold impression was sitting there.
“If you don’t mind, can I ask you a question?”
"yes."
"How did you end up on a blind date? I thought you'd be popular even if you didn't go on one!"
I couldn't tell if he was nervous or just naturally cold, but I was so curious about the guy on the blind date that I asked him a question. His handsome looks would attract any woman, and just as my sister had said, his job was high-ranking, a position difficult to achieve at his age. I wondered why such a person would bother going on a blind date. In fact, he might have blurted out anything to break the silence.

"I don't know if it's popular, but I asked you to do it. I've seen you once before. I saw you briefly on my way to see my brother and I liked you so much that I asked you to do it for a while, but I heard you kept turning me down."
"Oh? Really? Honestly, I've been living my life always running forward, so I've never really been interested in dating. And I'm so uncomfortable with blind dates, so I guess the timing just wasn't right... I never thought Taehyung would ask me to do it..."
“If you feel better after eating, would you like to go for a drive?”
“Yes, I like it.”
He still seemed cold, but I never imagined he'd ask me to set him up on a blind date, let alone go out for a drive after dinner. We drove to the ocean in a sleek black car that resembled his. We chatted while gazing at the ocean, learning a lot about each other. If there was one thing that stood out, it was that he, who seemed so cold, actually had a rather sweet and kind side. I wanted to spend more time with him, have a drink, but he offered to drive me home, so I left him behind and headed home.
“Thank you for taking me home, Taehyung.”
“Yes, please go in carefully.”
The blind date, which was a mixture of a little discomfort and excitement, kept coming to mind, so as soon as I got out of the shower, I picked up my phone and searched for his name. I took a couple of deep breaths and thanked him without making him feel burdened.

“I only do that to people I like. The more I look at Yeoju, the more I realize she’s a good person.”
