The Fate of the Hourglass

Prologue: Tangled

What if she could escape this time? What would she do? That was the girl's greatest worry. No, she had to figure out how to escape first. But the story of the hourglass, which she believed to be nothing more than a fantasy, was so utterly unbelievable that she couldn't find a way.

But the story was true. A truth she didn't want to believe, a truth she couldn't express in words. The girl slowly threw herself into that fantasy.

When the girl opened her eyes, she was greeted by a sight she had never seen before. It was nothing more than a sunset sky, yet why did it shine with such a dazzling light?

While she was admiring the scenery, a boy asked her a question.

“Where did you come from?” Where did the boy come from? Does the boy know that the girl has transcended time and space?

“…….” I don’t know, that was all I could convey with my lips. I thought it was something I could easily say out loud, but the girl seemed to think, “Why bother saying something you probably don’t even know?”

“Well, first of all. What’s your name?” Have you ever seen someone so pushy and try to be friendly? The boy seemed very curious, but the girl seemed to wonder if it was really necessary to tell her. For a moment, the girl thought about why she was curious, then chewed on what she was about to say.

“Um, Kim Ye-won. You can just call me Ye-won.”

“My name is Jeon Jungkook. Please take care of me!”

Where should I go now? As the girl was pondering, another person appeared before her eyes. Unlike the boy named Jeon Jungkook earlier, this person, who seemed to have no interest in Yewon, approached her.

“Who are you?” He must have been really annoyed when he spoke dismissively. I was trying my best to be nice to him…

“…….” Suddenly, I raised my head and saw a strange feeling between him and Yewon. “… Do you know what kind of place this is?”

“A world abandoned by everyone, that’s all.” Abandoned? What nonsense… “But one thing is certain: everyone is happy in such a place.”

“So you like it here? Really?” Since I don’t know your name, I can only call you that.

“I think it’s better to be called by my name rather than yours. Min Yoongi.”

“Oh, really. You should have told me sooner. It’s Yewon, Kim Yewon.”

The awkward first meeting came to an end, and the two decided to go their separate ways.
