3 | 🥀 - The Lady of the Black Rose

When the king interrogated the rice cake shop owner, he readily revealed information about Yeoju. It was said that Yeoju's parents abandoned her in the mountains when she was young, and that her current older brother had taken her in. She clearly had a home, but it was often empty. She also revealed that she lived surprisingly well, and that she had no idea where she got her money.

The king pondered deeply, then, with the owner of the rice cake shop at his side, went to Yeoju's house himself. As it was unusual for the king to visit in person, the people living on the way to Yeoju's house (presumably the location) all bowed their heads to the floor in a state of nervous anxiety.

"No,,,what on earth is going on that makes the king of a country come all the way to such a shabby place?"

"That's what I mean... Or maybe the King's beloved subject is sick..."

"That's true... isn't that the house you're going to now the house where the gumiho lives?"

A nine-tailed fox? Upon hearing the word "nine-tailed fox," the king immediately turned his head in the direction of the sound. The people flinched in surprise. The king's anxiety grew. The wandering king had clearly said that if he fell in love with that woman, the royal family would be plunged into chaos. If the crown prince, whom the king truly cherished, were in love with the woman born with the black rose, it would be a truly grave matter. The king was in poor health these days, and he knew death was imminent. If he died, the crown prince would become king, and the crown prince was currently in love with a woman named Yeoju.

Having reached the queen's house, the king slowly stepped into the courtyard. Suddenly, a sharp blade appeared before his eyes. The surrounding guards, wary of its owner, shouted, "Can't you put it away immediately?" Then, with a loud noise, the blade was removed. The man who had pointed it at the king sheathed it and bowed to the king.

It seemed like he was the older brother who had taken Yeoju in. He hadn't heard a single word, but judging by the fact that he lived in this house and was a man, it seemed likely. It was just the king's intuition. This man was Yeoju's older brother, the king thought. If he could get the man on his side right now, finding out information about Yeoju would be a piece of cake.
