The Lady of the Black Rose

Entering the house, the king sat down before a small tea table. Woojin expertly prepared tea and asked why he had come to their house. The king decided that talking would only waste time, and got to the point.

"I heard there's a woman named Lee Yeo-ju living in this house. I'd like to meet her..."

"The female protagonist is not at home right now. She is a very busy child, so she comes home when she is not busy."

*Yushi - 5 PM - 7 PM

When he heard she wasn't in the house right now, I wondered if she was dead, but thankfully that wasn't the case. The king, wondering why a girl with a simple face would be so busy, decided to call it a day. He ordered his servant to investigate what kind of person Woojin was and then left the woman's house. Woojin stared at the king until he left the yard, then a subtle expression appeared on his face. His expression was a smile mixed with worry. After standing in the yard for a while, Woojin sighed and disappeared into the shadows of the house, saying, "I guess there will be one more black rose."

Deep in the mountains, where crickets chirped and a small stream flowed, the sun was still bright, but somehow it gave off an ominous air. The prince was enjoying hunting on horseback here. In fact, hunting was only allowed in designated areas, but since he was soon to be king and could change the law, he didn't really care. While hunting through the forest, he came across a cave. However, even within the cave, a bright light was leaking out, so he thought it was more of a passage leading to somewhere else. Thinking about it, the prince decided to try passing through the passage. However, for some reason, the horse he was riding refused to go there.

"What are you so afraid of that you don't want to come with me?"

He tried to coax and persuade the horse to come in, but it remained standing still, seemingly unwilling to follow the prince. So, the prince decided to try the passage alone. He was already at an age where curiosity was always high, and more importantly, he heard someone singing from beyond the passage.

After briefly tying up his horse and slowly stepping into the passage, a chill from nowhere ran through the prince's body. Even though it was midsummer, the passage felt as cold as winter. He continued walking, and soon the end of the passage came into view. Seeing the end, the prince immediately began running, and upon exiting the passage, he was struck by awe. The plain was surrounded by trees and was incredibly beautiful. But among all the beauty, what caught the prince's eye the most was the rose field at one end of the plain. The roses were neatly spaced and lined, as if someone had created them. And among them, some weren't just roses, but black roses. Unlike the rest of the land, there was no grass around the black roses. This was a bit puzzling, but before the prince could even contemplate it, someone turned around.
