- Please note that other settings are similar to the Sentinelverse's unique worldview, but there may be some differences.

- WARNING!The author thinks of and portrays the protagonist as a rather immoral person.

- The author wrote it again in a hurry.

"S730928, starting medication."

The girl thought she'd never get used to the feeling of a thick needle piercing the thin skin of her arm, no matter how many times she experienced it. She bit her lip, hating the endless thrusts of the needle more than the sting. Otherwise, she felt she'd cry. An unidentifiable golden liquid filled the syringe and flowed into the girl's body. The researcher, having ensured that every drop had been injected, carefully withdrew the needle from her arm. At the same time, the girl groaned in pain as the pain shot up her arm and her body began to spasm. She closed her eyes.

"Which dose is this?"

"It's the 9th."

"Is this the last one? If so, then the form must have completely changed."

"It was almost complete during the last dose, so if we just hold out this time, the transformation will be complete. The groundwork ends today."

"Is it okay to start transplanting right away?"

"Yes? Oh, maybe so."

“Okay… then let’s start the transplant right away.”

When the man nodded, the researcher, clutching an empty syringe, bowed once and left the lab. The man, who had been watching the girl convulsively through the bulletproof glass, let out a low sigh. "Finally." The man muttered softly, his gaze fixed on the girl. The girl, who had been foaming at the mouth and writhing in pain, gradually stabilized over time. This continued consistently throughout the nine medications. When the seizures subsided and her wheezing breathing became calmer, the researcher returned carrying a circular container.

"What is that ability?"

"It's poison."

"Poison? Did that child choose it himself?"

"Yes, that's right. ...Shall we start the transplant right away?"

"Let's do that."

The door to the laboratory, built to withstand even the most potent explosions, opened. The man sank into the sofa, watching the researcher approach the girl, whose seizures had subsided. Success was imminent. The researcher, having spoken to the girl, opened a circular box and held it out to her. The girl, sprawled on a chair in the laboratory, her face drenched in sweat and her eyes half-open from exhaustion, slowly raised her hand. With trembling hands, she picked up a green bead from the box. She nodded feebly as the researcher continued speaking, then without hesitation, stuffed the bead into her mouth. The researcher, seeing her swallow the bead, practically ran over to her and threw open the laboratory door. With a firm snap, the door slammed shut, and the girl swallowed the bead completely.

Soon, the girl let out a painful moan. It was a scream filled with pain beyond comparison to the one she'd experienced after being administered the medication. The man sitting on the sofa, watching the girl sob, clutching her chest, looked at the researcher with a bewildered expression. "It's just a transplant," the researcher explained to the man, sweating profusely. But that was short-lived. The girl's movements in the lab seemed to stop as if dead, and a greenish-black liquid began to drip from her mouth, causing the researcher's face to turn pale. The man roughly grabbed the researcher by the collar.

"Didn't you say with your own mouth that you were close to success? Are you sure that's what a successful test subject looks like?!"

"Ugh, ugh, this, theoretically, it was definitely, close to a state of, ...

"So, that's what success looks like?"

The girl, limp and listless on the bed, was now spewing a greenish liquid not just from her mouth but from every orifice in her body. Poison, a substance toxic to life. The man knew the experiment wouldn't be easy, given that he had ingested such a dangerous supernatural power. But having experienced a crushing failure just when he had hoped success was within reach, he was in no condition to continue thinking rationally. "Yes, that looks like success to you," the man said, grabbing the researcher by the collar and opening the laboratory door.

"You said success? Then there's a chance you'll survive without falling behind."

“Cough, Director, Director…!”

The lab door slammed shut, and the researcher's frantic banging rang out loud. The green liquids from the girl's body began to vaporize. It was the effect of her power. Soon, the air in the lab would be filled with poison. The man watched motionless as the terrified researcher cried out in frenzy and then vomited. He also watched as she clutched her neck, groaned, and collapsed. The man brushed back his disheveled bangs and sank to the sofa. Failure. He had boasted that this time, he would succeed.

The man lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and stared beyond the glass window. A laboratory bathed in green light. There could no longer be any living, breathing creatures inside. Even the girl, his most precious and in the best condition, would ultimately die. As he sucked on his cigarette with a heavy heart, something wriggled caught his eye. His eyes narrowed. With a thought of "no way," he jerked to his feet, and the half-burned cigarette fell to his feet. The corners of his mouth curled up. The girl was getting up.

"Call Dr. Sung, right now."

The man, who had taken out his cell phone from his pocket and dialed someone, ordered, "Yes, Director," before the other person could even finish answering. His gaze remained fixed on the girl. She was looking around the lab, bathed in green, with a puzzled expression. And the girl's subsequent actions inevitably brought a dimple-like grin to the man's face. As if she knew what she had to do, she clasped her hands together. All the green toxins were sucked into her hands. The experiment was a perfect success.

The ability has blossomed.

The man opened the laboratory door without hesitation. He carelessly pushed aside the corpse of the researcher, who lay still, with his foot, and approached the girl. A green light flickered in her eyes as she watched the man stride forward. A smile spread across his face as he looked down at her and spoke.

"S730928,"

"……."

"What is your name?"

The girl blinked. The man gently stroked her sweat-soaked hair, then asked again, "What's your name?" The girl's small mouth opened.

"This is Kim Ji-won."

“…Kim Ji-won?”

…Coincidence? the man muttered. Finally, as if nothing mattered, he smiled deeply and lovingly stroked the girl's cheek. It was a success. The experiment to artificially induce espers' abilities was a success, no matter what anyone said. With the perfect girl, the result of the experiment, right before his eyes, who could dare argue with the experiment's success?

The man smiled contentedly. Dark desire flickered in his eyes.
