Chapter 4,
Rabbit Lee Seok-min, Otter Lee Chan
It was already a year since I started living with a fox, two dogs, and four cats, when I was 23 years old.
The eight of us were playing in the living room before we met a rabbit and an otter.
I was leaning back on the sofa, looking at my phone, when Jeonghan, a Siamese cat, lay across my legs, playfully poking my stomach with his front paw. Wonwoo and Jihoon lay on the warm floor in human form, while Jisoo, in cat form, was pacing around the living room. Seungcheol, Soonyoung, and Hansol were all on the floor, watching TV.
"But Seungcheol, Jeonghan, and Jisoo are the same age as me."
"Yeah, why is that?"
"All the other kids are younger than me, so why do you call them by their names and speak informally to them?"
"Originally, animals don't have any age."
" right? "
"Yeah, animals talk to each other informally, don't they?"
"Then why do you guys call each other hyung hyung?"
"I'm comfortable with this. I've been calling people by their first names and speaking informally to them for over a year, so I can't change that."
"I won't change either. I give up."
"I'm tired of hearing you call me older sister."
While we were killing time chatting about these trivial things, someone rang our doorbell. It was annoying, but it was the owner of the house. He picked up Jeonghan, who was playing on my leg, and walked to the front door, asking, "Who is it?"
When I didn't hear any response from outside, I just opened the front door. There was no one standing outside. Assuming it was just the bell, I was about to close it when I heard a creaking sound from below. I looked down and saw two boxes lying there. I placed Jeonghan on the floor, put the boxes away, and closed the door.
"Who is it? Who is here?? "
"No, I don't know..."
"What is this? Open it."
Jeonghan, who had transformed into a human, spoke as he tapped the box. He placed the two boxes in the middle of the living room and opened them. The first box he opened contained a rabbit, and the second box contained an otter. Everyone in the living room stared intently at the rabbit and otter inside the boxes. The rabbit must have found the gazes burdensome because it jumped high, while the otter, whose jumping ability was not high, crawled out of the box.

"Are these guys half-human and half-goat?"
"Why is there a half-human, half-beast abandoned in front of my house?"
As soon as Sunyoung finished speaking, the rabbit and the otter suddenly turned into humans as if they had been waiting for it.
