W.Li Tie

In this complex and twisted world, things that shouldn't happen happen. Mutants are born, good people are humiliated, the world is corrupted by murder, and things that shouldn't happen and facts and thoughts that we thought were impossible mix together and become reality. But I've always known this for a long time and it's been engraved in my memory. I think the current reality is very similar to this world, that there's only a new world called 'Nightmare' and a space where there's no one, only desires and fears. If this bizarre and creepy world that I've only heard about unfolds, it would be truly terrifying.

However, my prediction was not wrong.

As I was turning down an alleyway, I stumbled upon an unfamiliar path. Thinking it was a new path, I entered. There was a strange door, and a white button in front of it. Curious, I pressed it. My mind began to spin, and I felt as if dimensions were being mixed. Feeling slightly frightened, I tried to escape, but suddenly I lost consciousness and collapsed. When I opened my eyes, I found myself in an unfamiliar place. As I regained consciousness, I pondered: Where am I? Why does this world exist? A thought suddenly crossed my mind.

-Don't press anything. You can be possessed by the devil..-

I slowly looked around the room. Entering one, I found a grandfather clock in the center. I watched it warily, anxious that it might be hiding some kind of death flag. There was a note on the back of the clock.

‘If I could go back in time, would I be able to bring happiness?’

I decided to fix the broken grandfather clock, now broken from a loose screw. I muttered to myself, trying to dispel the slightly eerie silence. I was too short to fit the screws behind it. I leaned my chair toward the clock and did so. It felt as if I had to turn the clock back to return to reality, so I suppressed my fear and tried to set the clock. I fumbled in my pockets for my phone, but they were empty. Perhaps I'd traveled through dimensions, or perhaps everything I'd carried had vanished. So I just set the time to 12 o'clock. Hoping something would come out, whether it was a ghost or an evil spirit, I'd have to find the answer to get out of here, so I pinned my hopes on the clock.

But nothing happened, only the quiet ticking of the clock.

I thought it was just my expectations, so I opened the door again and went out into the hallway.
