Choi Yeonjun - Past Life

“Your Majesty... Next time, let us meet as equals...”

With those words, Yeonjun opened his eyes. He straightened himself and put his hand on his head. He'd been having the same dream for a few days. A woman would say the same thing to him every day. Yeonjun slowly straightened himself, washed himself, and prepared for school. Yeonjun was an ordinary 20-year-old in South Korea who was good at dancing, so he went to college.

Even during class, Yeonjun thinks about that dream. He ponders who that person is and why he's called "Your Majesty." He thought it was a drama, but he'd never seen the actress in his dream. A past life? He might not even know if he had one.

‘This could be my first birthday...’

Soobin put her arm around Yeonjun's shoulder and suggested they go eat. It seemed like class was already over. Soobin said that Beomgyu was waiting and that they should go quickly.

Koreans are all about food! I decided to eat first and think about it. However, even while eating, I often zoned out because of the content of my dreams. Soobin and Beomgyu were worried because Yeonjun kept zoned out.
Yeonjun quietly cursed out of frustration. He then told Soobin and Beomgyu about his dream. After hearing my story, they told me to stop talking nonsense and just eat since it was a bullshit dream. I thought it was useless and ate my meal happily. After eating, Yeonjun said he would buy Soobin and Beomgyu coffee and came into the cafe. Yeonjun ordered an iced Americano, Soobin a latte, and Beomgyu a peach iced tea, and gave his card to the part-timer.

"excuse me..."

The cashier asked Yeonjun for his number. Yeonjun gave it to the cashier, and the three of them sat down.
As soon as they sat down, Soobin and Beomgyu were busy teasing Yeonjun.

A few minutes later, he was surprised to see the face of the part-timer who had called his number as she brought him his drink. It was because the face of the part-timer was exactly like the woman in Yeonjun's dream.

As soon as he got home, Yeonjun sent a text message to the part-timer.
The part-timer's name was Yeoju, and Yeoju and Yeonjun quickly became close. Yeoju was considerate of Yeonjun and started the conversation first, suggesting that they go out and play.

A few days later, Yeoju asked Yeonjun to come out to the playground in front of their house for a moment because she had something to say. Yeonjun, without thinking, pulled his hoodie over his head and walked to the playground in front of his house. Yeoju walked in front of Yeonjun. Yeonjun felt too close and took a step back. Yeoju asked Yeonjun if he could still be friends with her after hearing this, and Yeonjun nodded. Yeoju took a deep breath and continued speaking.

Yeonjun was shocked to hear Yeoju's story. The content of the dream was true. Yeoju was someone who remembered her past life, and in that life, she and Yeonjun had been lovers but had broken up due to differences in social status. After Yeoju finished telling her story, she asked Yeonjun a question.

“Are you going to avoid me now?”

Yeonjun felt a little awkward about the fact that he and Yeoju had been lovers in a past life, but he thought that a past life was just a past life and there was no need to connect it to this life.

“No, I won’t hurt you.”
“I’m sorry I made you remember it alone.”

“I... like you regardless of our past lives.”
