The wind blew, and the white curtains fluttered. Because of that, sunlight streamed into the room through the curtains, and when I woke up, squinting at the bright light, I saw that a much whiter figure than the curtains—Yoongi—was lying next to me with his chin resting on his hand.

... Ah!!! Surprised by the unexpected situation, I screamed and fell off the bed. But when I looked up, Yoongi didn’t seem interested in helping me up, which made me even more embarrassed. I quickly got up from the floor, wondering how I was still here and if I had really slept with Yoongi last night. I couldn’t remember anything at all.

"Why is your face red?"

While I was still processing the situation, Yoongi asked why my face was red. But isn’t he the one who knows that better? The reason was clear—it was because of his suggestive and sly words from last night. Did that really mean I slept with him? And with a man I had just met?

There were so many questions in my mind, and I was starting to resent Yoongi even more. Whether he knew this or not, Yoongi casually said that since we had drunk last night, I should probably have something to eat to cure my hangover and left the room calmly. I couldn’t say anything to his very confident attitude.

My clothes were exactly the same as yesterday. Nothing had changed, so I was slightly relieved, though still wary. I followed Yoongi to the kitchen. He gestured for me to sit down, so I pulled out a chair and sat on a slightly higher chair.

Soon, a delicious smell began to fill the air. I set my utensils down and just waited, but the awkwardness of the situation made me think that it was better to ask what was on my mind instead of making a joke.

"So... last night... nothing happened, right?"

"It was fiery."

"··· What?"

"Both you and I. Especially, you were very active."

Yoongi’s words made my head spin. Wait... really? Did he really just... take my beautiful first time...?

The final blow came, and I collapsed weakly onto the table. Ignoring me, Yoongi presented a bowl of hangover soup full of various meats and vegetables. I drank the soup quickly, still feeling confused. Thinking about it, I wondered if the alcohol had caused me to lose my memory of last night. Of course, I didn’t remember anything at all, but the thought that he had been fiery... well, it made me feel a bit unfair, but I couldn’t bring myself to argue... I was just about to lose my mind.

"It’s a joke, why so gloomy? I promised I wouldn’t do anything to you."

"But you said you would..."

"I said forget it."

So, when I asked again if nothing really happened, Yoongi responded in an irritated tone, saying, "We just slept, okay? Why do you keep asking if you want to brush it off like it’s no big deal?"

That was enough to make me feel better. The one thing I was most curious about was cleared up, so I decided to eat first. After all, I was still feeling nauseous from drinking too much yesterday. I really need to cut back on alcohol...

After finishing the meal, Yoongi threw me some clothes, which I assumed meant he wanted me to take a shower since I hadn’t showered yesterday. I entered the bathroom, washed up, and came out, but since my hair was still wet and dripping, Yoongi blushed when he saw me.

He offered to dry my hair for me, but I refused. However, his sharp gaze made me quickly close my mouth and sit down in front of the vanity. The sound of the blow dryer wasn’t too loud, so I thought he would be able to hear me when I asked, "Why is there so much kimchi in the house?"

In response, Yoongi casually said that the fridge was half full with over 10 kg of kimchi, making me think he was actually capable of making jokes. But honestly, who would joke about that? He seemed like the type who wasn’t good at making jokes at all..

Before I knew it, my hair had dried, and I got up from my seat. But then, unexpectedly, Yoongi showed me inside the fridge and shook a bag of kimchi. Wait, that was really true? As I looked inside, I saw that the other food was minimal, but the fridge was full of kimchi. His eating habits were so peculiar. I asked, "Why do you have so much of this? Do you only eat meat?" and he replied, "Yeah, I eat meat."

"Stop joking around."

"I’m not joking. It’s true. I live off blood. Not always, but mostly."

"That’s not funny. You’re really bad at making jokes."

photo

"I’m not joking. Believe me, it’s true."

"What? When did you get here?"

As I was talking with Yoongi, suddenly a man appeared and confirmed that Yoongi’s words were true. I don’t know where he came from, but these people seemed really strange. No, they were just strange.

I blinked, completely speechless, and the man took off his black leather gloves as he introduced himself. "My name is Jeon Jungkook. I am the manager of this tower and also work as Min Yoongi’s manager."

"I thought you wouldn’t notice, so I’ll tell you. Min Yoongi is a vampire, a so-called vampire."

photo

"I told you not to call me that, it makes me sound like a monster."

"I expected it to take time for you to believe, so take your time adjusting."

I still didn’t fully understand what he was saying, but something was beginning to make sense. Yoongi’s pale skin was too white to be normal, and yesterday, he had run at an incredible speed. The fridge full of kimchi was strange, and most of all, Yoongi’s mysterious aura made sense in a way. But still, calling him a vampire? That seemed too much like something out of a fantasy.

"I just can’t... believe it. How could he be a vampire..."

photo

"Well, think about it. In South Korea, there’s this tower. That alone doesn’t make sense, does it? I think that’s enough explanation for now."

"······."

"And the reason Kim Yeoju is here, it’s to become Min Yoongi’s bride. Unfortunately, Kim Yeoju will now live here. It’s an unavoidable fate, so try to accept it as quickly as possible."

At that moment, I should have realized it. These people were really crazy.
