Knock knock. A woman entered the quiet lobby. With her neatly tied hair and Monami look, she was enough to attract everyone's attention. Perhaps it was because her figure and face were flawless. Even her hair, which swayed with every step, looked stunning. She confidently scanned her employee ID and headed to the elevator. When the elevator arrived with a "ding," she took a deep breath and boarded. After pressing the seventh floor and about to close the door, the elevator doors opened again. Then, a man who looked high-ranking entered, but stopped short of pressing the seventh floor button. The man looked at me and said,

“I guess you’re a new employee?”

He said. I nodded. He nodded back and began muttering to himself. I strained my ears, but he was speaking too quietly for me to hear clearly. We arrived at the seventh floor and got off together.

I opened a glass door and went in. There were a few desks and chairs with partitions. The man who got off with me stopped me as I was looking around the place after opening the glass door and going in. He told me where I would be and what I would need for my seat before leaving. I followed the man with my eyes and saw that he was the only room in the room surrounded by glass. He must have been the team leader. Thinking so, I sat down at the desk and turned on the computer. Not knowing what to do, I just sat there when someone tapped me on the shoulder.

I turned my head to the side and saw the person sitting next to me. He asked if it was my first time here. I nodded. Then, with a hint of excitement, he told me his name. His name was Choi A-rin. I couldn't help but tell him my name, so I did.

“Oh, I’m Ban Ha-yeon.”

Arin told me that my name was pretty. Then she said she would introduce me to the company. She took my hand, got up, and went to the room we had before.

Knock, knock. I knocked, opened the door, and went in. Arin asked the man, "Team Leader, can I introduce Hayeon to your company?" I naturally assumed that wouldn't be possible. But the man said that he would introduce her, so Arin should stay at work. At that, Arin's eyes and mouth widened dramatically. I felt like, "What's wrong with this person?" I was surprised, but also a little excited at the thought of skipping a little work.

I took the elevator to the first-floor lobby. There was a cafe and a small convenience store, which I hadn't noticed when I first entered. When I looked a little surprised, the team leader smiled slightly.

“Do you want to eat?”

I instinctively nodded vigorously. Then he gave me a slight smile, and I thought he looked a bit handsome. I went into the cafe, ordered a drink, and sat down. He asked for my name and age, saying we should introduce ourselves. I said my name was Ban Ha-yeon, 25 years old. Then I asked my team leader's name and age. He said his name was Choi Soo-bin, 28 years old. 28? He was younger than I thought. He was team leader at 28. I suspected he might have been parachuted in. But I guess his expression showed it all.

"It wasn't a parachute. I was able to get the vacant team leader position because the CEO I met by chance took a liking to me."

Ah... I felt embarrassed and sorry that my feelings were revealed. But this damn Ban Ha-yeon. I guess it showed on her face again.

“You don’t have to be sorry. Everyone misunderstands.”

"He must be being considerate, but he's a nice guy," I thought, and then our drinks arrived. I ordered an iced Americano, and the team leader ordered grapefruit ade. Seeing him order ade, a person who seemed reserved and reserved, like he only drank coffee, gave me a sense of intimacy. No, he even seemed a little cute. We brought our drinks to our desks and awkwardly sipped them when the outside noise grew.

Wondering what was going on, I saw the CEO had arrived. I thought it was just normal and continued drinking my coffee, but then a question struck me. Why did everything get so noisy whenever the CEO was there? Unable to overcome my curiosity, I asked the team leader. The team leader covered my mouth with his hand and said he'd tell me later when he came up. As I was about to say "Okay," I pulled his hand away, and just then, through the glass, my eyes met with the CEO's.
