She goes back to bed and try to get some sleep. The weather makes it more comfortable even though it's a little bit cold. She gets her phone and open write a few messages to her friends and family. His photo shows up.
She's staring at his picture for a while now and then a smooth sigh comes out of her mouth. He's been very busy these days and that's a little bit sad.
The door opens.
"Hi..." He says. There's a shy smile on his face. "Why is it so dark? Are you sleeping already?" He's now lowering his voice and placing the keys and his phone on the table. She looks at him very surprised, cause he actually came home a little bit early.
"It's midnight, you know?" She's sitting on the bed now, looking at him. While he's unbuttoning his shirt, he looks at her and smiles.
"Yeah, it's time to go to bed. Did I disturb you?"
"You didn't." She's now feeling a little bit shy. It's been a long time since they had some time to themselves. They were supposed to do so many activities together but he seems to be always busy. "I missed you. How was your day?" She said.
"I'm sorry. It was fine, I had a photoshoot like I mentioned before and recorded a little bit too." He comes closer and sits on the bed with her. "I know that these days were quite messy, but probably next week I get the chance relax a little bit more. He places his hand on her hand and looks at her. He's compassionate.
"I see..." She was disappointed, that was evident. "You should probably go to sleep now, cause you have a lot of things to do tomorrow." She lays back and avoids eye contact with him. He looks at her quite confused but decides to take a shower after she gets back on bad. "You're right." He replies.
After his shower, he placed his head on the pillow, looked at her and she felt his breath on her neck. She was excited to see him and wanted to tell him not to leave tomorrow but there was a wall between them that seems to be too strong to break.
"Are you sad? Because I keep leaving?" He said very slowly and very carefully. He was staring at her head and prayed she wasn't disappointed with him. This time I louder sigh came out of her. She turned around to look at him and his expression seemed to be surprised. He was afraid that they would fight about this.
"I did miss you. I'm trying to be patient because I don't want to get in your way but it's difficult. I just wanted you to understand that." She said very firmly.
Instead of a response, he hugged her and said:
"I missed you too. I can't say I'm sorry enough." They took sometime to synchronize their breathing and their heartbeats seemed to be louder and slower. Both of them decided to stay quiet for some time and just enjoy the moment.
"I wish you would never leave. I'm always going back home after spending so little time with you..." She hugged him and opened her heart.
"I'm sorry." That's all he said. "I should be with you more cause you're always leaving."
They live in different countries, that's why they feel like the distance is so difficult to handle.
"Let's sleep like this and enjoy this time together." He said.
And that day was over.
