We decided not to cross the line.

Episode 94. An unexpected proposal

"There are no direct flights this far.",

You're really tired, right?

I'll ask what I want to know slowly, so

first go home, take a shower, and rest a bit.

Aren't you hungry?"

"Now that I'm finally relaxed, maybe

I feel sleepy too...

and I think I'm a little hungry too."

"Let's hurry and go.

There isn't any Korean food...

I'll make pasta for you."

As I got up from my seat,

the sight of his carry-on, still standing right in front of the café entrance,

caught my eye.

"But why is your bag so big?"

"It's not like I'm only staying for a day or two."

"How much vacation time did you get?"

"Let's talk when we get home..."

As if he were hiding something,

he trailed off and wrinkled his nose.

Even then,

I never dreamed

that he had such a shrewd and

careful side to him.

I always thought he was spontaneous,

not the planning type,

Was this a new side of him,

or was I the one who hadn't known...?

I took him along

to my little nest in Frigiliana.

As soon as he stepped inside the front door,

the adorably decorated

little house seemed to surprise him.

"Wow~! It's like a dollhouse.

This is my new little nest!'

"It's my nest. Why would it be your nest, Hoonji?"

"Because I'll be living here too from now on!"

"How much vacation time did you get?

A week? Two weeks?"

"No. One year!"

"What? One year?"

"The day Jeonga came to our house and stayed for three days.

Before that, I had told the boss

that after finishing the movie I was shooting then,

I wanted two years off,

but on that day, to let Jeonga stay at our house

slide instead of making an issue of it, they took away a whole year."

He kept talking.

"Since we're living together... in other words, we're cohabiting!"

"Doing what? Are you crazy?

No... what on earth are you talking about?

You're going to stay here for a year? With me?

You didn't even discuss it with me!"

"When Jeonga left Korea,

you didn't discuss it with me either."

"...Don't you remember?"

"That was me leaving on my own,

but you're saying you want to live with me now, Hoonji?

That's clearly different.

This is something that needs my consent too."

"Ending a relationship between two people

also requires both people's consent.

It's not something that just ends because one person leaves."

He looked around the house as he spoke,

then turned back to me.

At his final words,

I couldn't say anything in the end.","This house only has one room."
