We decided not to cross the line (Season 2)

Episode 84. Taming Hoonji

"I don't regret it!!"

Hoonji said in an angry voice.

"Really?

If you break up with me...

Hoonji, your older sister will be happy."

I said nothing more and

went into the bedroom and closed the door.

Without even turning on the lights,

I leaned against the bed and sat down on the floor.

After a while,

the bedroom door opened.

"Jung-ah!"

He looked around the dark bedroom, then

came and sat down in front of me.

"I'm sorry. What I said earlier wasn't what I meant.

I was wrong."

He came closer, trying to hug me.

I pushed him away.

"You said you didn't regret it?"

"I just said that because I wanted to save face.

I didn't mean it."

"Are you still trying to save face with me, Hoonji?

Really?"

"No... I was angry earlier...

Because you said you'd had dinner with your first love before coming back.

I rushed home early

because I wanted to have dinner with Jung-ah..."

"If I hear the whole story,

it's a situation I can understand,

so why do you fly off the handle first?"

Hoonji looked at a loss.

I decided that this was the perfect chance to

fix his hot temper once and for all.

"Anyway, those were your own words, so keep them.

Move your things out tomorrow.

I'll do as you said and get back together

with Oppa."

"Jung-ah...

what are you talking about now?"

"Didn't you just tell me to go see Won-hee Oppa?"

"I told you I didn't mean it."

"If you say something and then say you didn't mean it,

does it undo what you said?"

"Jung-ah... don't do this."

"It's late today, so go sleep in the guest room and

move your things tomorrow."

"Jung-ah... "

"I asked you one more time, Hoonji.

Whether you were sure you wouldn't regret it.

You yourself said you wouldn't regret it."

"I told you I didn't mean it."

"It already came out of your mouth.

You keep your own word. Your own words."

I left him behind and went into the bathroom.

'This time, he'll get scolded

so next time he won't say things without thinking.'

After taking a shower, I came back to the bedroom.

He wasn't in the bedroom.

He wasn't in the living room or the kitchen either.

When I checked the guest room, through the crack in the door

the room was dark.

'Did he go out?'

I was confused

as I went back to my bedroom.

I dried my hair and got ready for bed.

'What... where did he go?

Why isn't he coming in?'

I went out to the living room and sat on the sofa.

I was worried

that I couldn't just sit there.

I changed my clothes

and went outside.

I looked around the complex and even in the nearby park,

but

I couldn't find him anywhere.

Thinking maybe he'd taken the car out,

I went down to the parking lot too.

The car was still there.

'Where did he go...?

He left looking upset... is he okay?

I was too harsh. What do I do...?'

I sat on a bench in the complex

and regretted having pushed Hoonji so hard earlier.

Then

someone called my name.

"Jung-ah!"

I looked toward the sound.

Hoonji was running toward me.

I jumped up and ran to him.

"Hoonji. Where did you go?

I thought I was going to die of worry."

"Jung-ah, where did you go?

When I heard the front door earlier, I followed you out,

but I couldn't find you no matter how hard I looked,

do you know how worried I was?"

As my tension eased,

I ended up collapsing right there.

Hoonji came and sat down in front of me.

"Can I... take back what I said earlier?"

I cupped Hoonji's cheeks in both hands.

For a long moment, I looked at his face.

"Hoonji.

I'm not breaking up with you.

Do you know how much I love you?

How could I break up with you?"

"But you need to stop flying off the handle like that.

Every time you do, I get so tired."

He hugged me tightly and nodded.

"I definitely won't do that.

From now on, I'll listen to you first, Jung-ah.

I really mean it! I promise!

So we're not breaking up, right?"

"Why would I break up with such a handsome younger boyfriend?"

"I was seriously so shocked.

Your expression was so stern..."

"Hoonji. You didn't eat dinner, right?

I made some Vietnamese spring rolls,

so do you want to go in and have a little?"

"Really?

I was super hungry just now, so that's great.

That's vegetables, so zero calories!!"

We got up from our seats

and held hands as we headed home.

"Hoonji.

But can you get rid of that pledge?"

"No way. Triangle-square!!

That's my last shield."

"What would you do in a situation like this?"
