Justin is from Eidolon (planet) which is the center of the Republic.
Only those native from said planet can pilot legendary Eidolon (mecha), that's why they are liken to gods. Pilots of said mecha all have the title of Lords.

[TO POV]
"T-thank you...for saving me," the 'god' said in between the dust clouds of their emergency landing spot.
The stutters irritated Felipe to no end as he faced his own machine, now in ruins when it came crashing down with its damned blasters.
"I don't need your thanks, Eidolon! I need my machine. Fix it!" He snapped.
The supposedly higher life form flinched, and with a small voice answered, "m-my name is Justin...not Eidolon."
His brow furrowed, "You play games? When I saved your life? I do not care for names, Eidolon. Give me back my mecha!"
"I told you, it's Justin! Look, man. I am grateful, really, but I have zero clue what in the sun you are talking about!" Justin retorted, still breathing harshly.
It was the first spark of anger Felipe saw in 'Justin', and that's when he realized that the child is actually a teen, probably even taller than him. But that didn't made him less pissed.
Felipe has always categorized things, those that are useful and those that aren't. Years in the Sierra Landfill has engrained him this mindset. And right now, dealing with a prebuscent punk, be it an existence liken to gods, who has no sense of self-preservation by antagonizing his own savior, is turning out to be the latter.
"Nonsense. If you are not Eidolon, then why do you shed swarovski tears?"
"I..what?" Before Justin could finish his question, Felipe opened a bunker of his mecha that released a massive billowing of dark smoke.
Coughing and wheezing from the assault of engine fumes, Justin easily became teary-eyed, and just as what Felipe said, his tears turned to crystals the moment it hits air.

The shock on the Eidolon's eyes are genuine, and the simple gasp made Felipe sure that there are more mysteries lurking under the innocent facade of this 'Justin'.
Mysteries that he determindedly doesn't want to be a part of, and so when the confusion finally settled in with the teen, Felipe announced, "You are useless. You don't even know what you are. Scram."
And that is when 'Justin', the amnesiac Eidolon, decided that sticking with Felipe is the best bet he has for survival.
