Who is Seoul, the faceless singer?

Chapter 8. EP20: A Good Person Recognizes a Good Person (1)

On the fifth day, while waiting for Yena's call, Taehyung went to his parents' house instead of going to another university, and Hanbit went to her home.

Their parents were constantly worried about their son, who left them at a young age to pursue his dream of becoming a detective. They wondered if their only son was eating well, if his job was tiring, and if he even had a girlfriend now that he was getting older. Even though he was a grown man, they worried about everything. It's hard not to worry about your child—this is the true heart of a parent.

"If you were coming, son, you should've called ahead. Then I could've made you your favorite soybean paste stew. Should I make it now?"

“Just eat this. What else are you going to do? You don’t have to.”

Taehyung, who discovered kimchi stew on the table, scooped a bowl of rice from the rice cooker, sat down on a chair, and began to eat. Seeing his son start eating, his mother took out several of Seolchan's favorite side dishes from the refrigerator and opened the lids of each one.

“Son, if you need any side dishes, just let me know.
“Mom will bring it to you.”

“From now on, don’t bring side dishes. I’ll come and get them.”
That's why."

He felt nothing but apologies to his mother, who always brought him heavy side dishes. So, Taehyung knew he couldn't repay all the kindness his parents had shown him by giving birth to him and raising him, but he wanted to do his best to be filial to them.

His mother, who had guessed what Taehyung was thinking when he said that, said nothing more.

“But Dad isn’t here yet?”

"Your dad is having a drink with his friends for the first time in a while."

Taehyung's father may seem cold, but he's actually a good person who does everything he can. He may seem blunt, but he's a warm-hearted father.

“Isn’t your son’s work hard?”

“Oh. It’s not hard. I’m really glad I chose this job.
“It’s so good that I can’t stop thinking about it.”

Only then did Taehyung's answer seem to ease his mother's worries a little.

“Mom. Can I sleep in today?”

When her son said he was going to sleep, his mother smiled brightly and said, “Of course,” and went into the room Taehyung used to sleep in to make up the blanket. She would have done something more for him.
It was the heart of a mother who wanted to do something.

Perhaps because it was his first time sleeping at home in a long time, Taehyung slept more comfortably and soundly than usual.

This time, Taehyung decided to take a short break until he heard from Hayena, so he woke up a little later than usual and ate a hearty meal of soybean paste stew prepared by his mother.

Taehyung, who entered the office, started cleaning, which he hadn't been able to do because he had been busy visiting singers in Seoul. He swept the trash and dust from the floor with a broom and wiped away the accumulated dust with a damp towel. When he had nothing to do, Taehyung cleaned the office every day.

Just as he was almost done cleaning, Taehyung's phone rang. The caller was Hanbit.

"hello?"

“Taehyung, you didn’t call me when I was busy, did you?”

"Yes. I'm not busy. Did you hear from Ha Ye-na?"

“I’m here. Fortunately, Ms. Yena passed the voice confirmation test.
“He said he would do it.”

Taehyung, relieved by Hanbit's answer, cleared his throat. He wondered what would happen if Yena refused to take the voice confirmation test because of his slip of the tongue.

“Haa... That’s really fortunate. I was worried you’d say no because of me.”

“Yena must have felt that Taehyung was not a bad person.
“Yes.”

The more they visited Seoul together, the more Taehyung and Hanbit developed feelings for each other. Not just as ordinary, good people, but also as positive feelings toward the opposite sex.

The two met in front of Kyunghee University and recorded Yena's song "I Miss You" on a digital recorder while attending the Department of Practical Music.

Yena's "I Miss You" truly touched my heart. Every single lyric touched my heart. Yena poured her heart and soul into the song.

Yena's song must have truly resonated with Taehyung, who turned away and wiped his tears with a handkerchief. Perhaps he didn't want Yena, whom he was meeting for the second time, to see his tears. He did shed tears with Hanbit on their first meeting, though.

“I thought you were a really scary detective, but I guess I was wrong.”

“I was very rude yesterday. I really wanted to apologize.”

Taehyung added.

"And I'm not that scary. I just get weirdly blunt when I'm focused on work."

Taehyung waved his hand, telling Hanbit not to misunderstand him as a scary person, but Hanbit looked cute. Then Hanbit spoke to Taehyung.

“Haha, no one will misunderstand, so don’t worry.”

Taehyung, who had a smile on his face at Hanbit's words, said to Yena.

“I know you were very upset by what I said yesterday, but thank you for allowing me to take the voice test.”

“Yes. I hope I can be of help to someone.
great."

At first, we left a somewhat negative impression, but in the end, we were able to part ways with each other on good terms. Human relationships are truly indescribably delicate. But the most important thing is that good people recognize good people.

Although there was a bit of a problem, Taehyung took Yena's recording to the court and gave it to the researcher. He said that there were a lot of voices that needed to be tested today, and the test results would be out tomorrow morning. This time, Taehyung desperately hopes that Yena is the singer Seoul more than anyone else. If singer Seoul is not a practical music major attending a university in Seoul, then he doesn't know where else to look for clues.
