Why does the man next door keep laughing?

Why does the guy next door keep laughing? Episode 1

Han Seo-yeon was sincere in her ordinariness.

I wake up at 7 am, make a warm Americano, and listen to the same podcast on my way to work.

At the office, I wrestle with Excel in silence, and when I get off work, I eat ramen alone and watch TV with an egg.

Her daily life was quiet and solid, nothing special. At least, until she went abroad to study.

Seoyeon went to study abroad in Australia for the simple reason of wanting to experience a wider world.

And on the first day I arrived, the roommate I met in the unfamiliar dorm room was none other than Felix.

Blonde hair, playful eyes, and it was like this from the first greeting.

"Hi! I'm Felix. Are you okay with snoring? I snore a little bit."

Seoyeon sighed inwardly. "It's fortunate that it doesn't happen that way."

"Oh, you're Korean? You really like Korean food. Let's go eat together later."

"...I'll start by cleaning my room."

Felix nodded with a smile. “I understand, Mr. Strict Roommate.”

Seo-yeon thought he was just being funny. But as they shared a kitchen, went grocery shopping together, and spent the day together in the same space, Felix gradually became a familiar presence to her.

One rainy evening, Seoyeon held out a towel to Felix, who had returned without an umbrella.

"You forgot your umbrella again? How many times is this?"

"I like it when it rains. It creates a certain mood. And you gave me a towel. It's like a drama."

Seoyeon snickered. “That drama won’t get good ratings.”

That night, Felix said cautiously, "Seoyeon, I don't say this often... but the best thing about this room these days is that you're here."

Seoyeon couldn't answer. Her heart was pounding too loudly. She didn't know that the words 'our room' he said would sound so warm.

Her ordinary life began to shake little by little on the unfamiliar streets of Australia. And now, she didn't hate that shaking.
