Why do people live so tenaciously?
Top student in the school, S University, a good job. What do they all mean? Why live a life so joyless? This society didn't recognize anyone unless they were smart or graduated from a prestigious university. To survive, you had to study, and even if you couldn't, you had to persevere. It was both a duty and a destiny. To survive in this hellish society.
Everyone is born with the same destiny, but there are often those who reject it. Like the 20-year-old repeat examinee who, after a vibrant teenage life, should have become a college student, but instead wasted time and opportunity, now finds himself in a study room preparing for the college entrance exam.

"Sigh... What the hell am I doing?"
If I'd known my life would turn out this way, I wouldn't have lived my life so recklessly, trying to act like a know-it-all in high school. Knowing he couldn't regret it now, Jungkook took a deep drag on his e-cigarette, its sweet aroma enveloping him, and exhaled. The sweet e-cigarette felt bitter today, like the emptiness of his heart.
Before I graduated from high school, my parents, who had never cared about my grades, would click their tongues and scornfully ignore me for not getting into Seoul National University. I thought it didn't matter which university I went to.
A little over six months had passed since he began his year of study. During that time, what Jeongguk had realized was nothing other than regret.
Born into a wealthy family, Jungkook was a naturally gifted child, gifted by his parents with a handsome face and exceptional athletic ability. Perhaps that's why he's never once regretted anything he did, not even dating or breaking up with someone.
The fact that Jeong-guk realized his regrets was proof that he was becoming a human being.

"You should've just lived properly... What on earth were you thinking, living like that? You fucking punk."
All Jeongguk could do now was regret the time that had passed and could not be brought back, and blame and curse the person who had created this situation.
Jungkook, his head pounding with worry, headed to the pharmacy to buy some headache medicine. He noticed a boy in front of him lose his grip on the ball, sending it rolling onto the road. As he ran after it, trying to catch it, a large truck sped toward him. The boy's mother, her voice terrified, tried to run to him.
"Oh, Woojin...!!!"
Seeing that, Jungkook ran out onto the road without a second's hesitation and quickly scooped the child into his arms. A loud crash followed, and Jungkook and the child rolled onto the cold cement floor.
A commotion could be heard here and there, and Jungkook, who had opened his eyes dimly, saw a child in his arms, thankfully unharmed. Even amidst this life-or-death struggle, Jungkook, thankful that his child wasn't hurt, smiled faintly. Before he completely lost consciousness, a phrase flashed before his eyes...

With that, Jeongguk lost consciousness.
