Han Yumin's life was perfect.
A decent family, a natural talent for studying, and on top of that, a pretty face. Always coming first in the entire school was only natural.
And so time passed, and she would go on to get into a good university and land a good job.
Everyone thought so.
"Han Yumin? Heh... that stuck-up bitch?"
"She's cute, but she always goes alone and she's super cold."
"She's totally my role model!! I bet all the girls, including me, would follow her around behind her back?"
Han Yumin's reputation was split down the middle.
But as if she didn't care, she threw herself even more into studying.

The weather was unusually bad that day.
It was raining, the mood was gloomy, and the class atmosphere was restless too. Yumin couldn't focus well either, so she idly spun her mechanical pencil around, killing time. Her gaze naturally drifted away from the workbook on her desk and settled on one spot.
A boy in the corner of the classroom who was the loudest of them all, and who clearly looked like a delinquent.
When their eyes met, the boy grinned, then quickly turned his head away.
Yumin let out a short tsk and pressed the innocent mechanical pencil lead into the paper over and over.
She figured focusing would probably be hard for a while.
