[Yeonjun fanfic]: His first love

2)

“Hey, Choi Yeonjun, did you just make eye contact with Han Yumin?”

“So that guy’s name is Han Yumin?”

“Yeah. Pretty, right, even to you? But her personality is insanely awful, so don’t mess with her. I bet she’s got a lot backing her up too?”

Yeonjun left his hyena-like, snickering friend behind and looked at Han Yumin’s back.

Yumin seemed unable to focus and was tearing at his hair with a grimacing expression.

Definitely seemed like a personality that clashed with that deep, striking face.

“Looks like she’s got a hell of a temper… haha”

For some reason, it was funny to see her crushing a mechanical pencil down onto the workbook while scrunching up her pretty face.

“Crash!!”

A glass vase with a wilted rose in it flew through the air and hit the wall just a few centimeters away from Yeonjun before shattering.

So this is what I get the moment I come back to school.

Yeonjun’s stomach twisted.

“How long are you going to keep associating with those vulgar creeps? You always do nothing but disappoint me, Choi Yeonjun.”

“Father.”

“If you don’t come to your senses before it’s too late, you won’t inherit a single thing from me!”

“Father!!”

Yeonjun glared wide-eyed and clutched his bleeding hand as he spilled out his frustration.

“When did I ever ask you to hand over that damn company? When have I ever asked you for anything?”

“...”

“You expected far too much from a seven-year-old kid, Father. Ever since Mother died, every day has been hell! You left me then, and now you act like you’re doing me a favor, saying you’ll give me the company? Don’t act like you care!”

“You ungrateful brat-”

Yeonjun burst out of his father’s office, where the man was screaming at the top of his lungs, and ran without thinking.

From the moment he was born, he was the son of a successful businessman who had lost the woman he loved, an unloved son passed from relative to relative.

Like a stone rolling around on the side of the road, with nowhere to go.

Somehow, he’d been dragged back again, and he hated it.

He had made his first friends, and they weren’t exactly good kids.

That was all.

He would have to keep living like this, with not a single ray of light ahead.

He should have been used to it by now.

But hot tears still streamed from Yeonjun’s eyes.

He crouched on the stairs and got soaked through by the rain.

Whether the rain knew his heart or not, it came down in torrents.

“Hey, aren’t your butt getting wet? Get up.”

“...? You’re… Han Yumin from earlier? How did you get here-”

And on that day, for the first time, someone held an umbrella over him when it rained.
