You in the shutter

Episode 4. I Saw You Outside the Frame

The morning of the festival day.

The school was filled with an excited atmosphere and busy footsteps.

Each club booth was busy decorating, and instead of uniforms, group T-shirts filled the schoolyard.

The photography department was assigned to the ‘record’ role before the event.

I decided to go around the event venue and take pictures.

Kim Yeo-ju was in charge of the ‘stage part’ today.

A place where performance clubs and sports and art performances are mainly filmed.

The fencing club was the main stage of this festival.

"Do you do a fencing performance?"

"Hey, Jeon Jungkook is coming out!"

The students' response was also great.

Not just a simple demonstration, but a performance with stage lighting and music.

And the female lead

I ended up taking a picture of Jeongguk on stage.

10 minutes before the event starts.

The female lead was setting up a camera on a fixed tripod, below the front of the stage.

Changing the lens and focusing,

Jungkook appeared from the back of the stage wearing a white fencing uniform.

The heroine witnessed that moment.

Light flows down the stage lights

A scene where he stops on Jeongguk's shoulder.

ah,

That's right.

That kid

You are already in the center before you even lift the lens.

Jungkook walked out onto the stage and looked towards Yeoju.

Although we were far apart, our eyes met exactly.

The stands were noisy,

There was a strangely quiet air flowing between the two.

As the music started,

Jeongguk's body moved.

Fencing is a quiet sport.

Breathing rather than sound,

A sport where stillness is more impressive than movement.

But the situation on stage was different.

The sword swings quickly, the footwork follows the rhythm,

And above all—

A gaze that continues to look towards the female protagonist.

The heroine pressed the shutter.

Fast shutter speed to capture movement,

A suitable distance to express emotions.

Click, click.

The sound is heard regularly

When Jeongguk's gaze turned directly towards Yeoju once again—

Click.

At that moment,

The heroine unconsciously swallowed her breath.

That kid,

In front of hundreds of spectators now

The female protagonist was the only one watching.

“I’m having fun taking pictures.”

After the show, backstage.

Yeoju organizes the camera

I raised my head at the sudden voice.

It was Jeongguk.

Hair soaked with sweat, breath still warm.

He said, opening a bottle of water.

“He kept taking pictures of me.

“It seems like you’re putting in a lot now.”

The female protagonist responded expressionlessly.

“Because it’s work.”

Jungkook chuckled.

"then,

“When I see you, isn’t that work?”

“…….”

“I am on stage

“I was just looking at you.”

The heroine quietly lowered her gaze.

Jeongguk no longer seemed like a joke.

He was standing on the stage,

The heroine took a picture of him under the stage.

and

Those eyes were aimed at the female protagonist more precisely than anyone else.

That night.

The female protagonist is organizing the photos she took.

I slowly checked the scene where Jungkook was looking at Yeoju on stage.

Among hundreds of people,

A gaze that only looks at one person.

The photo is a still image,

There was strangely too much talk in it.

next week,

The photo club selects the best cuts

We decided to hold an exhibition for each club.

Jungkook speaks quietly to Yeoju.

“Can I display that stage photo?”

The heroine asks.

"why?"

Jeongguk's answer was short.

“…that picture,

“I think it was you who took the picture, not me.”
