Second story
——
Before we knew it, it was lunchtime. The whole school became noisy and chaotic as soon as the lunch bell rang, and the teachers grabbed some of the kids who were shouting in the hallway and scolded them.
“Hey! Choi Yeonjun!” A voice calling me resonates loudly.
"why?"
“Why? Why? Let’s play soccer.”
A call came in to play soccer.
“Yeah. I’ll go out first.”
“Okay. Come out quickly!”
He screamed and ran out.
I changed my clothes and was about to leave the classroom. A thought flashed through my mind: the transfer student I'd met at the playground this morning. I scanned the classroom, trying to find him. He was just sitting there, watching the boys play soccer through the window.
“Hey, do you want to go out together?”
I asked him to go out with me because I was worried he might get bored if he was alone in class. I thought it would be better to go to the playground and watch the soccer game right in front of me than to be alone in class.
"huh." It was a simple answer.
I stepped onto the sun-drenched playground. The burning heat rising from the sand enveloped my legs. I looked up at the stands and saw a transfer student. I raised my hand without thinking and gave a big wave. Seeing me like this, the transfer student extended his hand from his waistband and gave me a thumbs-up. His shyness was secretly cute, so I snorted. Oh, maybe he was just shy? Anyway.

“Hey you kids!!!! Stop playing soccer and go eat!!!!” With about 15 minutes left in lunch, the homeroom teacher came down and yelled. Leaving the soccer game that had ended in a 1-1 draw, he ran to the transfer student in the stands.
“How was it? I did well haha”
“Yeah. It was cool.”
“But your blushing face right now isn’t cool lol.”
I don't know if my face turned red from running in the blazing sun or from something that kid said.
