A fairy's hope
Chapter 3

Winter was harsh with her sisters when they imagined the worst about her.

Dea
"I don't want to be here!" he exclaimed as he gazed at the frozen landscape.

Winter
"It's for the best," he said, walking toward her home without letting go of her. "Our mother believes you've suffered too much."

Winter
"You can't keep waiting for things to bloom, you did all you could and now you must be free."

Dea followed her between sobs; she had dedicated her whole life to taking care of her sisters before they were born.

I couldn't imagine his existence any other way.

He spotted a beautiful sculpture in a hallway and stopped; perhaps that was the punishment that awaited him, it wasn't as bad as he thought.

Dea
"Are you going to freeze me?" he asked in a low voice.

Winter
"I will turn you into tiny snowflakes so that your power remains here," he said, freeing his arm as he noticed that I wanted to approach the sculpture.

Winter
"You were born through our mother's magic and that is where you will return; it is the destiny of fairies when they lose the joy of living."

Dea
"I thought we lived forever," tears still covered her face, she ran her hand along one wing of the sculpture.

Dea
"I can only think of those who died in the war. What is happening?"

Winter
"It's part of my power, our mother decided it to lessen the pain of the fairies who are still living," she said calmly while smiling.

Winter
"She is Cristal, I find it strange that our mother gave her that name, she was born from some green flower"

Dea
"Crystal?" She paused to think; few fairies had been born from those flowers.

Narradora
The green hue was not extraordinary enough in their race.

Dea remembered fourteen sisters; four bloomed the seventh time she went to the garden, two before the war, and the rest...

... perished on other planets in battles against the Chaos Front.

Dea
"I suppose it grew from a chrysanthemum, although only carnations have bloomed since I've been in charge."

Winter
"She's younger than you," he sighed. "You probably saw her born ages ago."

Dea
"Your power is amazing, I can't remember her," she said, drying her tears.

Dea
"I will accept my fate; I know that no one will suffer when I disappear, and that is all I need to leave in peace."

Dea moved away from the sculpture.

Winter led her through his dwelling to a narrow cavern where the magical spring was located, where he would transform her.

As Dea submerged herself in the water, she heard a beautiful song and remembered the happiest moments of her long life.

She was once again a little fairy scampering through the meadows with her sisters.

Then she passed through portals to other planets; each landscape amazed her.

She was young, excited to learn which race she would protect, but her mother entrusted her with the flourishing garden.

The disappointment faded when the yellow tulips bloomed.

She felt great joy upon realizing that she had been chosen to care for the protectors of the galaxy.

She saw hundreds of fairies born, Lia was the last, she sprouted from a dahlia.

The fairy's body disintegrated before reaching the bottom; the spring shone with the intensity of the stars.

Winter covered her eyes and felt the great power of her long-lived sister spread across the frozen lands.

At that moment, the matriarch's magic was fully restored.
