Love Maze 03

The day flew by. The homeroom teacher was about to get angry at Jin Ye-na for suddenly switching seats, but when she saw that I was the one who had swapped seats with Jin Ye-na, she cleared her throat and warned me not to do it again.

The other kids were showing their discomfort, asking why they were being so considerate, but the homeroom teacher got angry at them for being quiet instead. Of course, from the homeroom teacher's perspective, it couldn't be helped.

Because I am the youngest daughter of Hansung Group.

박지민
“Are you going straight home?”

여주
"huh."

박지민
“Should I take you? It’s too dark.”

여주
“⋯It’s only 5 o’clock?”

As soon as the ceremony was over, I stood up with my bag in my hands. Park Jimin, who was giggling while playing on his phone next to me, followed me as if he had been waiting for me.

The excuse Park Jimin gave for asking if I should take him was inadequate. The sunlight streaming through the window proved it. Perhaps sensing this, Park Jimin bashfully rubbed the back of his neck and then exclaimed, "Ah!" before shoving his phone at me.

박지민
“Let’s exchange cell phone numbers.”

여주
"why?"

박지민
“We’re partners.”

여주
“⋯.”

I guess it's normal for desk mates to exchange phone numbers. I've never done that before in my entire school life, but I figured there was no need to reject him, so I took Park Jimin's phone and dialed my number.

“Hey… Taehyung, can you take me here?”

김태형
“Don’t stick.”

“Ah, uh⋯.”

From one side, Jin Ye-na and Kim Tae-hyung's voices could be heard. She'd been talking to Kim Tae-hyung all day, but it seemed she wasn't done yet. Her gaze naturally drifted toward the sound, and when she raised her head, her eyes met Kim Tae-hyung's as he was leaving the classroom.

여주
“⋯.”

김태형
“⋯.”

박지민
“Hey lady, are you done?”

여주
“⋯Ah. Here.”

Damn it. I stared at him so intently, which was uncharacteristic of me. I awkwardly looked away and handed my phone to Park Jimin, and then I felt Kim Taehyung brush past me.

“Ah, Taehyung⋯!”

Jin Ye-na followed suit. If she were a rich kid, or even a student at Hwayang High School, she would have known everything about Kim Tae-hyung, even if she didn't want to. Why would she follow him around like that? I couldn't understand.

박지민
"Okay. I'll contact you when I get home. Be sure to reply, Yeoju-ya."

Park Jimin left the classroom, beaming like a child receiving candy. He could hear the squeals of the girls who hadn't yet left the classroom.

‘⋯Is Park Jimin also like Kim Taehyung?’

Yeoju didn't like those kinds of people. On the plus side, they were popular, but on the negative side, they were annoying to those around them. Like Kim Taehyung, or rather, the Hansung Group brothers.

I finished packing up and left the classroom. "Zeeing, zeeing," the phone rang loudly, but I ignored it. I'd thought it would just hang up after a couple of times, but it kept ringing.

I wondered what kind of kid it was, so I checked the caller ID and couldn't answer the phone.

[taehyoung kim]

It was not a very welcome name.
