02. Now I go first

-Yeoju's point of view-

I had an interview today too.

As expected, the interviewer frowns as soon as he sees my profile.

Due to family circumstances, I dropped out of school after graduating from middle school.

That's probably why I've never been hired in an interview I've ever had.

After the interview, I felt hungry and was hurrying to the restaurant.

Then someone called me with a car horn that sounded like it was going to burst my eardrums.

At first glance, he was a handsome man.

But at that moment, my heart strangely raced and my nose stung. I was sure I'd never seen the person before.

So I tried to speak calmly.

"How do you know my name?"

I thought I spoke coldly, but he just chuckled, as if he was enjoying something. His bright smile almost made me laugh too.

Of course, I was okay with it. But then I remembered something a friend had said.

'When a man pushes, a woman has to bounce back at least once. That way, the man will become even more desperate!!'

I forgot she was single, so I told him.

"I'm sorry. You're not my type."

Clearly I knew he was going to catch me.

But he just stood there blankly.

A few days passed, and I spent my days regretting listening to that friend.

So I waited for hours every day to see if he would be on that street again.

But he wasn't there. I waited for three hours again today, and I didn't even see his nose.

I was about to give up and leave when I saw that man walking towards me from far away.

I made a noise on purpose as he passed by.

But he just passed by like a stranger. I felt like the days of waiting might just disappear like a bubble.

So now I caught it first.
