Dream of Dawn, the Path I Walk with You
The time is deep dawn.
The living room was shrouded in darkness, and in the quiet bedroom, Seung-kwan was fast asleep in his own room.
On the other hand, the guest room,
Jiyeon seemed to be sleeping, but her body was constantly tossing and turning.
Sweat on the forehead, panting breath,
And in the darkness, he shook his head back and forth, as if he were holding on to something in his dream.

“…Ugh… No…”
With a small groan, her hands groped for air, and she finally flinched and screamed.

"Gyaaaa ...
A short scream echoed throughout the guest room.
Jiyeon gasped and jumped to her feet, and the silence in the room was shattered in an instant.

‘… I… was asleep? What was the dream… what was it…?’
Jiyeon opened her eyes wide and looked around the dark room.
My heart was pounding, and cold sweat ran down my back.
Then— the door flew open.

"What's going on?!!"
He was wearing pajamas and his hair was disheveled. Seung-kwan hurriedly opened the door and came in.
His face was filled with confusion and worry.

"…ah…"
Jiyeon looked at him with wide, surprised eyes.
Seung-kwan quickly turned on the stand light in the room and approached Ji-yeon.

“What’s wrong? Are you okay?”
Jiyeon, still breathing rapidly, looked at Seungkwan's face.
The remnants of the nightmare still lingered within it.

“Did you have a bad dream?
승관
“I heard you screaming… I thought something was wrong…”
Seung-kwan shook his head, momentarily embarrassed by the sight of her cold sweat.
Jiyeon lowered her gaze and muttered softly.

“…I don’t know either. I think I had a really scary dream…”
승관
“By any chance… did you remember anything—
승관
Oh, no. First… I'll get you some water."
Seung-kwan stopped talking and quickly left the room.
After a while, he returned with a cup of water and a soft towel.
승관
“Don’t overthink it. Just drink this.”
Jiyeon accepted the cup with both hands, grateful. The cold water ran down her throat, cooling her tired body.
Strangely enough, I felt a real "thirst quenched" like I'd never felt before.

“…Did you wake up because of me…?”
Jiyeon asked cautiously, and Seungkwan glanced at his phone and said as if he was flipping through it.

"No, well, it's almost 6 o'clock anyway. I guess I woke up early. It was almost time to get up."

“...6 o’clock…?”
김지연
‘You slept that long…?’
Jiyeon looked at Seungkwan with surprised eyes and carefully wiped the slightly damp sweat from her forehead and the back of her neck with a towel.
Her fingertips were still slightly trembling, and Seungkwan, watching, cautiously opened his mouth.

"Want to go for a walk together? Maybe a change of scenery will help you feel better."
Jiyeon stared blankly at him for a moment, then slowly nodded.
Small and low answer.
However, Seungkwan nodded lightly at those words.
Outside, the blue of the dawn sky was beginning to brighten.
The cold air, fallen leaves beneath the streetlights, the still quiet mountain path
Inside, the two began to walk slowly side by side.
