“Marriage Blue”

Q&A

Hello. This is Manggaejjinddeok. The journey of about six months has already come to an end!

First of all, I would like to say thank you so much for your love!

We decided to do a Q&A first, right? Let me answer that first!

Q. What inspired you to create this work and where did you get the materials?

A. I was inspired by the drama "Senior, Don't Put on That Lipstick." I was inspired by the drama "Senior, Don't Put on That Lipstick," starring Rowoon and Won Jin-ah.

A. To be honest, I kind of wanted to write an office romance, and more than anything, I liked the chemistry between the two actors.

A. I don't know much about cosmetics, so I was wondering what kind of company would be good... and then I suddenly thought that it would be nice to meet my first love again, so I tried it!

A. Since a wedding dress is a union between two people, I decided on it because I thought it would be perfect for the theme of a broken relationship reuniting and finding love again.

Q. What was the starting point for writing this work?

A. As I mentioned earlier, I was watching a drama and suddenly got hooked on office romance, so I started writing!… I wrote everything improvisationally and ended up ruining a lot of things, so it was a big problem.

Q. How do you feel after finishing a piece?

A. Actually, I feel a bit relieved. Honestly, I thought about quitting a lot because I got stuck in the middle. But I was glad they pulled me back by the collar.

A. And above all, since this is my first office romance, there are a lot of immature aspects to it. There are a lot of things I don't like.

A. Still, I'm glad you all enjoyed reading it.

Q. Who is the main character of the wedding dress that Jimin was making?

A. That's the female lead. Actually, I was thinking about how Jimin could grow during the three years they were apart.

A. I felt like it was too much of a waste to just spend time doing nothing - so I thought, what if Jimin expressed his feelings for Yeo-ju through a dress? That's how I came up with this episode!

A. I will throw in a photo of the dress image that Jimin made at the end!

Q. When you wrote this piece, did you have the ending in mind? Or was it a different ending than the current one?

A. When I write a story, I always have the ending in mind! A happy ending, or a sad ending. Like this. Mary's Blue was a happy ending from the beginning!

A. The ending is always set, but when the material for the story runs out, that's when it becomes a problem and it becomes difficult.

Q. Is the wedding dress yours?

A. Yes! It's Yeoju's!

Q. Do you have any plans for a second child? And when do you plan on wearing the wedding dress that Jimin made for Yeoju?

A. Oh my... I didn't know there would be a question like this. Maybe a second child?. Aren't there plans for one?. Thanks to the active female protagonist who has had a taste for American food, I think it will happen sooner or later.

A. I don't think I'll be wearing a wedding dress soon! Since we haven't seen each other in three years, I should speed up the progress!!

— I think the dress Jimin made while thinking of Yeoju would probably have this image!

— The heroine wanted a prince on a white horse, and anyway, in Jimin’s eyes, the heroine will look like a brave princess!

Anyway, thank you for your love so far!

I will repay your love with better works in the future!

Although Mary's Blue is finished - I'll be writing other works that will be fun to read, so please stop by once in a while!
