One step to you

unfamiliar air

3 a.m. Seoyeon returned home safely and took a shower.

I lay quietly in bed.

The screen of the cell phone placed on the bedside table was dimly glowing.

She opened the message with a smile.

[Senior Jeonghan♥︎] <Did you sleep well? Today was the best. See you in my dreams.>

Seoyeon read the message, buried her face in the pillow, and shook her head.

“Ahh… I think I’m crazy…”

Then suddenly the phone screen blinked and vibrated.

“Oh, you’re here again?”

Seoyeon picked up her phone with a pounding heart. But what appeared on the screen was—

An unfamiliar name. [Eunho.]

<Huh?>

That single line of message completely cut off the excitement I'd felt just moments before.

"…what…"

She paused for a moment, looking at her phone.

Unread messages remain in preview form. Just a simple greeting? Or, really... that's the intention?

Before I could even answer, the vibration rang again.

[Eunho] <I just thought of it and sent a message. Are you free now? Can I call you? Are you sleeping?>

Seoyeon's expression hardened. The corners of her mouth lowered, and a slight wrinkle formed on her forehead.

“…Really contact me...”

She was speechless for a moment, then put her phone down and turned around.

Her shoulders, curled up as if buried in the pillow, were shaking slightly.

“If that’s the case… I’ll feel uncomfortable. How will they look at me on set...”

He bit his lip and muttered to himself. In the quiet room.

In her heart, the words of Jeonghan, still lingering, and the unpleasant feeling that suddenly rose on top of them were intertwined.

Excitement and discomfort.

It was a dawn when two emotions simultaneously pulled at my heart.
