That convenience store part-timer

16 : I miss you

I arrived in front of my house

I was wringing out the water, and Jaehyun casually shook his hair dry

... pfft

Seeing how soaked we both were, laughter burst out

명재현 image

명재현

You look like a wet hamster haha

문하나 image

문하나

You’re the one who looks like a dog drenched in water, though?

명재현 image

명재현

Not a dog—more like a wolf, though?

명재현 image

명재현

Anyway, I’m off~

I grabbed Jaehyun.

문하나 image

문하나

Wait here for a second

명재현 image

명재현

Huh?

I quickly went inside the house

And came back with an umbrella

문하나 image

문하나

Use this and go

문하나 image

문하나

Bring it back tomorrow!

After saying that, I dashed back home

명재현 image

명재현

... ha, seriously...

명재현 image

명재현

Tomorrow’s the weekend...

명재현 image

명재현

Seriously, you’re an idiot

On the handle, the letters MHN were written in round, bubbly handwriting

I opened the umbrella and went back home

I better not catch a cold this time

문하나 image

문하나

Ugh...

The next day, I ended up catching a cold after all

It was such a long holiday that I was almost glad

I’m sitting on the bed, wrapped tightly in blankets

If I lie down, my nose gets stuffed up

I spent the whole day scrolling through Instagram

Kim Woonhak...?

Woonhak’s story popped up

We’d exchanged Instagram, but I’d never looked at his posts separately

Woonhak usually posted with friends

And most of them were with Myeong Jaehyun

There were also photos of him riding a bike with Jaehyun, watching a movie together, and even hanging out at Jaehyun’s place

I went into Jaehyun’s account, which was saved under Mension

We’d never talked about Instagram at all, so I didn’t even know he had an account

Jaehyun’s account was simple

A basic profile with a simple name

And just his age in the bio

He only had one post...

문하나 image

문하나

...!

I couldn’t help rubbing my eyes in disbelief at the post

It was a photo of ice cream

But it wasn’t just any ice cream photo

It was taken when we were walking home from school together

I thought maybe it had been taken with Woonhak

But the background, the person barely visible beside it, and even the caption said "ㅁㅎㄴ and 🍦".

'When did he take this...?'

문하나 image

문하나

I quietly stared at the photo

'... I miss Jaehyun'
