It was raining. Inside a black sedan, Han Taesan stared at the building outside the window. At the building entrance, men in black suits stood guard.

“Taesan.”

박성호

“I’ll ask one last time.”

박성호

“..Are you really going in? Can you do it?”

한태산

“Yeah. Of course.”

박성호

“Once you go in, I won’t be able to help you right away. You know that.”

“..If they find out who you are, it’s over.”

Taesan unfastened his seat belt.

“Then come back no matter what.”

Taesan got out of the car with a smile instead of an answer. The door closed, and the black sedan slowly pulled away.

This mission’s goal was to secure internal information on Baekya.

And at the center of it was a man named Myeong Jaehyeon.

The man flipped through the file and looked Taesan over.

Taesan turned his head. A man in a black shirt, sleeves rolled up, was leaning by the door.

Myeong Jaehyeon.

It was the face Taesan had seen dozens of times in the investigation materials.

That man was one of the most dangerous people in Baekya.

[Taesan] Contact successful. [Taesan] I’m going to be working next to Myeong Jaehyeon.

“Yeah. You look way more relaxed than when you’re with me.” Jaehyeon chuckled teasingly and lightly tapped Taesan’s shoulder.

“Let’s go. Let’s eat.”

“Now?”

명재현

“What, you gonna stay here all night?”

한태산

Taesan briefly touched the pocket where his phone was. “.....Sure.”

Jaehyeon walked ahead first. Taesan followed behind, thinking. For now, the mission came first. Even if it was for the sake of going back to Seongho.

Inside the black sedan. Seongho was staring at his phone screen. The last message from Taesan.

[Taesan] I think I’ll be late getting back in touch today. Sleep well.

박성호

[Seongho] Yeah, yeah. Don’t push yourself.

Seongho slowly closed his eyes after setting down his phone. He was worried about Taesan. That much was definitely sincere. But Seongho had a secret he couldn’t tell Taesan. The moment that secret was revealed, everything between them so far could come crashing down. Seongho gripped the steering wheel tightly.
