A day without you

Time really flies, so I finally turned on my laptop and started writing. Maybe it's because it's a small publishing company, but there's no pressure, so I just spent it leisurely. But it's lackluster, so what else could I do? I should just write.

"What should I write..."

I can't remember the original manuscript... The previous book was a sweet love story, but even I admit the plot wasn't all that great. In short, it was a book that demonstrated the very essence of "failure..."

I was imagining things like that, but I couldn't quite get it to work. I looked away from my laptop and out the window. It was morning. I was so surprised. Time, which never seemed to pass, passed like this...

My eyes were heavy and I went to the bathroom because I was crying.

Of course, I didn't look in the mirror...

07:10 AM

I came out of the bathroom and looked at my watch. It was 7:10. I thought to myself, "Did it take this long to write this manuscript?" but then my stomach started sending me signals that it wanted to eat, so I stopped thinking.

After finishing my breakfast with just rice and kimchi and going into my room, I could see traces of you even more clearly because it was morning... I just cussed out and went back to the living room.

When I came to the living room, I really felt like I had sworn at you for nothing... In the room, there were things that held memories of you, and in the living room, there were memories of you... I was even more annoyed because you were everywhere.

I went into my room, grabbed my laptop and coat, grabbed a disposable mask from the living room, and went outside to go to a cafe.

Especially in our neighborhood where cafes are ubiquitous, the only one that comes to mind is the cafe where you and I said our goodbyes... Well, it was quiet there since there were no people there... I wondered if Min Yoongi would be there, and headed to the cafe I had decided not to go to.

I remember being annoyed by a couple I saw crossing the street and jumping up and down and tapping the man on the shoulder, and while waiting for a traffic light, I saw a couple acting affectionate and said in an annoyed tone, "What are you doing out here with people around..." to them, telling them to stop by.

So, the couple stopped their affectionate behavior and coughed, perhaps because they were stabbed...

"Hey, Yeoju, what are you really doing..."

Even I thought about it and laughed out loud because it was so pathetic. There were many couples on the street, and there were also couples inside the cafe visible through the glass.

Why was it so hard to get to that cafe today... I don't know. It was really hard. In the end, I couldn't go to that cafe, so I went to a nearby cafe with no people.

Why is it so hard to spend a day without you, why do other couples stand out?

I really don't know...
