CHAPTER 9

2 Days Later:
Chaeyoung's P.O.V:

We are on our way back to school.

2 days ago, Dad, me, Sun-hee and Jungkook talked. Dad told us that after mom's death he needed time and space to think which was the reason he moved to Australia but after a while he thought he was wrong because he NEEDED us in his life. So he wants to change himself and get closer to us.

Right now, Dad had moved into the house I bought for us and he's staying there with a nurse looking after him. 

I couldn't be more happy. 

Me, Sun-hee and Jungkook bid each other goodbye as we make our way to our dorms. As I was about to enter, when everything happened so quickly that I barley had time to register what's going on.

Someone slams into me and pulls me into a bone-crunching hug and spins me round and round.

"O-okayyy s-stopppp!!!" I exclaim, getting dizzy.

The person hugging me let's go and I am finally able to see his face.

It was none other,

Than Choi Yeonjun.

And Jin behind him, laughing like a little kid.

I catch my breath. "Yah! What happened all of a sudden? I just set foot in here and you attacked me as if some cannibals ate me or something!" I scold Yeonjun which makes Jin laugh even more.

"Yah! Stop laughing!" I exclaim at him before I also start laughing.

"What the heck is going- actually never mind, I DONOT wanna know. By the way, hey Chaeyoung," pops up Sojin from thin air and Beomgyu with her.

"Yah!" I exclaim for the millionth time. "You scared me!" Sojin huffs out a laugh.

It's now my turn to receive a bear hug from Beomgyu.

"Okay!! Enough with the huggingggg!!! I was only gone for two days, geez!" I laugh. Beomgyu pouts then pulls away. I giggle at him.

"Hey Chae," Jin flashes me his eye smile and I smile back. "Hey."

From the corner of my eye, I watch Sojin fidgeting and looking uncomfortable so I quickly look away from Jin but I notice else that Jin and Sojin aren't making eye contact at all. In fact, they are completely ignoring each other which is very unlike them. Did something happen between them?

My thoughts are interrupted by Yeonjun who snaps his fingers infront of my face, making me blink. "Wanna go for a walk?" He asks.

I smile. "Yeah, sure! Just lemme change and put away my stuff." I go inside my room and dump all my stuff and change into something comfortable.

Yeonjun offers me his arm and I take it, and we walk outside. 

But all this time, I could feel Jin's eyes on me. Before we left, our eyes had met for a second before he looked away quickly but not quick enough that I noticed the saddness and fire in his eyes. What's wrong with him? Maybe I'll ask him later.....

Jin's P.O.V:

When I saw Chaeyoung take Yeonjun's arm happily, saddness and something else burned in my eyes. My eyes met hers for a second before I quickly looked away incase she notices. Aish! Why is everything so complicated?! Why am I being like this? Maybe it's just a reaction after mine and Sojin's argument.....

~FLASHBACK~

I was sitting on my bed, thinking about what Yeonjun had told me about Chaeyoung and James. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Sojin coming into my room until she sat next to me and clapped her hands to get my attention.

"Hello? Earth to Seokjin!" she exclaims.

"Huh? Oh.....hi...." I respond, confused, and still half in my thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" she asks.

"Um....nothing....." I lie but she sees through it.

Sojin sighs deeply. "You're thinking about HER, aren't you?" 

"W-who....?" I ask.

"You know who. CHAEYOUNG," she replies darkly.

"Um.....N-no.....idk.....maybe..." I mumble.

"Why?"

"Um....." I begin to explain her what Yeonjun told me yesterday.

"Well, he's right," she says coldly.

"Eh?" I raise my brows.

"Why are you so interested in her?" She asks coldly. "What's IN her? Why are you always thinking about her past? If she wants to tell you then she will. Mind your own business before looking into others."

"Excuse me? What are you trying to say?" I ask her angrily.

"You're always thinking about her and it is making me sick! S.I.C.K!" she exclaims as she stands up.

"Well what about you?! Have you looked at yourself before talking to me like that? You are always hanging around with Beomgyu but I never said anything because I TRUST you and you DON'T trust ME!" I am also on my feet now.

"You know NOTHING," she growls. "NOTHING. She is always the good one. Has always been. She is making my life MISERABLE. She even stole Jame-" she gasps and covers her mouth.

I gape at her. "She STOLE James?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! You KNOW James? Why are you blaming her?! What has she DONE to you?! She's innocent she wouldn't DARE to hurt ANYONE!"

"NO! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! SHE IS A-" I harshly grab her arm.

"You say a word against her and we're over," I whisper to her and leave the room.

~END OF FLASHBACK~

I had no idea what caused me to do that . I was being so protective of Chaeyoung that I hurt my own girlfriend.....What the heck is going on with me?! ARGH!!!

If only I knew......

I HAVE to ask Chaeyoung. Today. Right now. It's now or never.
