Jonghyun is Key’s closest best friend because they’ve known each other the longest. In fact, their mother’s were in the same maternity ward together before they were born. Jonghyun was born a day earlier on the 20th of October. Their mom’s remained close friends and so the boys attended the same schools. They actually grew up like brothers as they had no other siblings. They both excelled at the same subjects — both music and sports.
In fact, Jonghyun excelled at playing piano and was accepted into Juilliard. And for the first time in their lives they would take different paths. Key excelled at singing but he was not interested in attending Juilliard.
Instead, Key desired to travel overseas for a year of which he did with two of their other best friends — Taemin and Minho.
When they all returned after a year abroad the three friends invited both Onew and Jonghyun to their favourite spot — the same spot that presently Key had driven to... Gangnam
