Sussurrare [wontaek]

"They won't mind one bit. Come on." Wonsik left the classroom hastily, hoping that the transfer was following, as he searched for his friends. Soon enough, he met back up with Hakyeon and Jaehwan; Sanghyuk and Hongbin were apparently already at a table.
"So, Ravi...?" Jaehwan spoke slyly, donning a smirk. "You going to tell us who this happens to be?" He and Hakyeon both looked at Wonshik and Leo, more and more interested in the new kid. Though, the sudden question caught the boys off-guard as they were already in their own of a series of conversations; they whispered to one another contently despite the noise that would otherwise drown out any chuckle.
Hakyeon had to repeat his question just to get an answer out of the boys. Yet, just before Leo was going to speak up, Wonsik introduced him. "This is Leo. He sits next to me in Language." As he finished, they all sat down at their table, inviting an extra two pairs of eyes to look on at the transfer. Before any questions could be raised, Wonsik quickly blurted, pointing at each person, "Hyuk, Hongbin, Ken, N," He paused slightly to let his new acquaintance get used to the names, and then looked straight to Leo. "And this is Leo." The two exchanged genuine grins before looking back to the others around them.
"So this is the transfer? He's quite handsome." Sanghyuk spoke up from opposite the boy, immediately getting slapped upside the head. "What was that for?"
"You don't need to be ogling him on any day of the week, understand?" Hakyeon asked sternly, sending shivers down Leo's spine. After all, the boy had seemed so sweet just moments before.
Leo's delicate hands quickly pressed to his ears as he looked down to his feet. None of the other noticed, but Jaehwan was quick to wonder.
"Are you ok? Not good with loud noises?" He asked carefully, not wanting to scare the poor boy. Then, an idea popped into his head. "How about you and Ravi go get some food? The lines are dying down over there, so go and you won't have to listen to these kids bicker."
For a second, Leo looked confused. 'Ravi? Does everyone call Wonsik that? Why did he just tell me his real name, then?' He thought, looking over at the boy in question. The thought left his mind as soon as they had come, and he decided it wasn't a bad idea.
"Hey, Wonsik-ah," He spoke quietly, yet caught the attention of the others at the table. They ceased all movement and speaking once they heard it.
Though, there was no time to ask questions. "Yes? Do you need something?" Wonsik said, smiling brightly and looking right into Leo's feline eyes.
"Want.. to go get some food? Ken, I think that was his name, said that we should.." Leo's volume died down even more once he saw the others staring at him like he did something wrong, his voice now almost inaudible. He leaned into Wonsik's ear and whsipered, almost whining, "W—why are they all staring at me?"
Wonsik nodded off the last question and stood up, waving Leo to follow. "Sounds like a great idea," he said calmly, giving a reassuring smile to the boy. "Let's go."
Once the two had gone a pretty certain distance away from the table, whispers erupted among the others. “Why did he call Ravi ‘Wonsik’? No one, no one, calls him that!” “How about him saying “Wonsik-ah”? He sounded so sweet!” “Oh my lord, what if Ravi hurts him? You know he thinks of new kids as easy targets!” Each of them piped up over the others, no one listening to the other’s points. The table was in chaos.
Meanwhile, Ravi and Leo weren’t exactly having a good time. They had just been talking serenely to one another, exchanging glances and small smiles, when they noticed how many people were staring, taking photos, talking about them. It was merely unsettling to Wonsik, but downright terrifying it the other boy. His head would snap in each direction, staring down everyone who dared to look at him. Though his stare was cold as ice, his demeanour hostile and unforgiving, the boy was trembling on the inside. He didn’t enjoy the unwarranted attention for a second.
“Leo? Are you ok?” Wonsik asked, carefully snaking an arm around to the boy’s back, petting him reassuringly. “We can just grab something small and eat somewhere else, yeah?” He proposed, and much to his pleasure, Leo agreed.
The two moved through the lines quickly, not grabbing much, and quickly left the cramped canteen. After a few moments of consideration, Wonsik decided that he should take Leo to eat somewhere only he knew about. With newly awakened excitement, Wonsik grabbed the other boys hand and started guiding him to the nearest stairwell.
“Sik-ah, where are we going?” Wonsik inwardly cooed at the nickname before readily replying.
“Upstairs there’s a class room that no one uses. I’m the only one who really goes there, so it’s really quiet.” He spared the boy no other information, still pulling him up the flights and hastily dragging him through the halls before they arrived in a secluded pocket of the great school.
The walls were still pristine with a warm beige colour, untouched by anything but the welcoming yellow-ish light above. The hall was empty, plain and barren, but still neat and clean. Wonsik pulled Leo through the dark mahogany door that lead to the old classroom. Not a spec of dust could be seen throughout the room, as it seemed Ravi frequented cleaning there.
“It’s really.. Beautiful in here. It’s nice an quiet.” Leo whispered carefully, not wanting to disturb the comfortable silence. Before Wonsik could add on, he was hushed, a finger pressed to his lips and his eyes met with warm, yet seemingly warning feline eyes. “If you’re going to talk, then just.. Whisper to me.”
