2. IZ*ONE's history as the main vocalist

They placed third in "PRODUCE 48" and officially debuted as IZ*ONE in October 2018.

At first, she didn't stand out among the many trainees, but as the show went on, her stable high-pitched vocals and emotional expression were highly praised, and she was selected as the main vocalist. The following are highlights from the MV and live performance footage:

🎶 "La Vie en Rose": A refreshing vocal performance with perfume-themed choreography

🎹 "Violeta": Dynamic dance performance and overwhelming vocal ability

🎵 "Fiesta": An up-tempo tune befitting a comeback, showcasing the charm of a grown-up

3. Diverse talents shown through solo singing and OST participation

After IZ*ONE disbanded, Jo Yuri started her career as a solo singer. Her clear voice especially colored the worldview of the drama's OST. Some of her most notable works include:

🎤Theme song for Netflix's "The Fabulous"

In Netflix's "Squid Game Season 2," which will begin streaming on December 26, 2024, she was selected to play the role of participant 222, "Kim Junhee." The audition went through four rounds, and the reason she received high praise one after another despite her lack of acting experience is as follows.

1️⃣ Lifelike facial expressions: Delicately expressing emotional ups and downs even under stress

2️⃣ Improvise realistic lines: Add depth to your character with a line that isn’t in the script

3️⃣ Earning the producer's trust: The miracle of passing the first drama audition

Immediately after the release, domestic and international media reported that "her acting skills are hard to believe she is a former singer," and social media was flooded with praise in English, Korean, and Japanese. The number of visitors to the search keyword "Jo Yuri Squid Game" has also increased sharply.
