Paulo was awakened by the loud hum of an engine. Although he was still dizzy, he forced himself to wake up and find out where he was.
Paulo was surrounded by scientific equipment, which greatly surprised him. He was about to move to examine them, but he realized that he couldn't move because he was tied up.
"W-what place is this? Why am I here?"Paulo asked himself but couldn't find an answer.
He looked around to get at least a little idea of what was happening to him. He remembered the things that happened when he lost consciousness.
"Si Justin...he's danger!" Paulo couldn't help but remember everything that happened the day he went to the clinic to have his fist treated.
"Couldn't it be...this is the contents of the restricted building?"Paulo asked himself.
"You're awake,"said a voice familiar to Paulo's ears.
"Justin!" Paulo shouted when he saw Justin's figure looking down from above. It seemed like Paulo was in an operating room and Justin was the supervisor observing a surgery.
But Justin didn't react. He just stared at Paulo coldly.
Paulo's brain immediately registered that he was not the person he was looking for.
All this time, the one who is hanging out with them is not Justin, but an impostor. They were all fooled.
"You are not Justin. Who the hell are you?!" Paulo asked in annoyance.
But instead of getting terrified, Julian even laughed aloud.
"Hah! Finally, you've unveiled my disguise, Paulo!" Julian said mockingly that even made Paulo more furious.
"Shut up and answer me!" Paulo said.
"Okay, okay. Calm yourself. The show is just about to start, Paulo," Julian said.
As soon as Julian finished talking, the LCD monitor in front of Paulo lit up.
A man in his knees are shown in the video. As the man looked up, his face was revealed to Paulo's eyes.
"Justin!" Paulo shouted and struggled against the metal bars that are incapacitating him.
But it seemed that Justin didn't hear Paulo's scream.
Justin tried to speak up, but no sound escaped from his mouth.
During the past weeks of his absence, Chairman De Dios ordered to conduct an experiment to Justin to find out what is wrong with him because he can't beat Paulo.
With the chairman's burning desire to make his son the best, he was too blinded to see how much Justin was suffering to complied with his orders.
Meanwhile, Justin kept on holding with Julian's words that he must avoid contradicting their father too much as it will only worsen his situation.
"But one thing for sure, I will save you Justin."
This promise lingers through Justin's mind every time he is in too much misery. He believed that his twin brother will be able to end this chaos and save him.
But he was waiting in vain...
Julian was too focused on pleasing his father that he failed to remember his promise to Justin. After all, Justin only met Julian once, so their intimacy was nearly with that of a stranger.
Thus, Justin seemed to have trusted the promise of a stranger.
With every song that Justin had to sang as a compliance to the experiment lies the lullaby voice he once had that is gradually withering.
"Julian...save me," Justin whispered with his remaining voice before he lost his consciousness.
The calming voice he once possessed has now left him at the worst time. Justin's lullaby voice became a virtual aid for his father's experiment.
The monitor turned off. Paulo is going mad because of anger, but he can't do anything right now.
"Justin...fuck Justin! What did they do to you?" Paulo screamed in his mind.
Upon witnessing Justin's agony, Paulo's eyes are burning in anger, sorrow, and despair. He couldn't bawl and exhaust his misery as he knew what Julian wanted to see from him. He couldn't afford to show weakness in front of his archenemy.
"Did you like the show Paulo?" Julian mockingly asked.
Paulo's anger even more intensified with Julian's question, but Julian is loving his reaction.
"Don't get too worked up yet Paulo. We are just getting started," Julian said with a wide grin.
"I have seen enough, but you're still not answering my question," Paulo coldly said.
Julian was quite surprised as Paulo seemed composed in his eyes.
"I'm Julian, Justin's twin brother," Julian said for the first time in his life.
He can't believe that he's going to make his first ever introduction to Paulo, his nemesis. Meanwhile, Paulo couldn't believe that Justin's own blood and flesh have done terrible things to him.
"I may be Justin's brother, but I'm way too different from him. I am way better than my worthless brother, and especially way better than you, Paulo," Julian said.
Paulo was just staring at him intently. Julian's revelation exceed Paulo's imagination. However, he chose to remain calm and composed to retaliate.
"Justin is way better than you and way more worthy, Julian. And don't ever dream on defeating me, as I was born to be the best since day one!" Paulo retaliated.
Paulo's words struck into Julian's mind, making him be more outraged.
"How can that weakling be better than me? Haven't you seen what happened to him already? He can't endure my Dad's grace. He can't tolerate the experiment! Justin didn't make it but I did!" Julian finally burst out.
"I have endured everything for four years, Paulo! And I am the only person who was able to endure the experiment. Your brother didn't even make it alive!" Julian said.
Upon hearing Julian's last statement, Paulo's mind went blank.
"My brother didn't make it alive? No..." Paulo thought.
"Yes, Paulo. Your brother and the rest of the first ALAB Elites have also undergone through my Dad's experiment, but they didn't make it. Why? Because they are weaker than me!" Julian said mockingly.
"You..." Paulo couldn't continue his words as gritted his teeth in anger.
"Have you understand already Paulo? I am the chaos and your worst nightmare!" Julian said.
Paulo is being eaten by anger and regrets. He wanted to kill Julian. But he knows very well that it is not the right way.
If he do the same with what Julian and his father did, he is no different from those monsters.
"If you are the chaos, then I'm going to end you with my own hands," Paulo said firmly.
