Do KyungSoo

Manager-NIM was going to resign; he wasn't the first, but he'd lasted six months longer than the previous one. I didn't blame him; after all, that's why humans hated monsters—they only brought misfortune. I learned that the hard way.

**Flashback**

- Chanyeol-Ah, pass me the sheet music, you're closer... she called his name so casually, she knew that annoyed him a little, especially because Chanyeol always wanted her to call him Hyung.

- "Kyungie, how many times have I told you to call me Hyung?" he said, making an angry face with a frown and everything.

"But I'm your senior! I've been here longer than you at this school; I have battle wounds to prove it." Perhaps I shouldn't have said that because immediately a wave of sadness passed through her eyes.

Clearing my throat and trying to dispel the dark aura that was beginning to form around Chanyeol, I didn't want the little monsters to start feeding on his energy; that would make him sick, and that was the last thing I wanted. After a few agonizing seconds, he regained his smile, and the dark aura disappeared. Chanyeol continued talking about how his sister kept going on about the time Kyungsoo visited their house and helped with his birthday preparations. She and their mother had been delighted that someone so young was there for Chanyeol in his year, so dedicated, and so friendly with him.

Yoora's birthday was approaching, and Chanyeol interrupted the practice session to go to his backpack and take out an invitation with a Pororo wearing a party hat.

Kyungsoo took it in his hands, reviewing the contents. He checked the date and it matched what his parents, or rather subjects, had told him: September 23rd would be a New Moon and would be his coronation ceremony.

The party was going to be early, but Kyungsoo knew Chanyeol wanted to have a sleepover that day; he'd been hinting at it for months. But Kyungsoo said he could only attend the party since he and his parents were going on a trip that night.

There's no date that doesn't arrive, and September 23rd came.

Yoora was very happy that Kyungsoo was accompanying them. At the party, it was nearly impossible to walk through the hallways because of all the teenagers in attendance. Yoora was very popular in her class and at the school in general.

Chanyeol and he were the only ones in their grade and decided it was better to play in Chanyeol's room where no one else had access.

Chanyeol's parents were very busy trying to get the snacks and drinks served on time. He and Chanyeol had already eaten before the party started—one of the perks of being neighbors.

Hours passed and the sun began to set. The phone in the Park house started ringing; it was Kyungsoo's parents. It was time...

Chanyeol led him to where his parents and Yoora were, said goodbye, and went straight to his house, which was less than 10 meters away. There weren't many lights on, indicating they were in the basement.

She unknowingly left the door ajar; she hadn't applied enough force to close it completely.
