Something happened after school during after-school activities that really pissed me off.

Kang Sumin, who was paired with me,kept serving like crap the whole time.

It wasn’t that she was bad at it — she was literally serving like crap.

Maybe because she didn’t like me,

she kept frowning the whole time,

and kept carelessly tossing the shuttlecock over like she was just throwing it away.

At first I thought she must not be feeling well or maybe she was in a bad mood,

but when she swung her badminton racket wildly without even looking at the shuttlecock coming back, I said something.

But Kang Sumin didn’t even know what she’d done wrong,

and blamed me instead, getting angry at me.

I was so annoyed that I immediately tattled to the teacher, but

the teacher scolded me instead of Kang Sumin, saying we weren’t little kids and shouldn’t be fighting over something like that.

I just wanted to finish after-school activities smoothly,

but before I knew it, I felt like I’d become an emotional trash can, and I was in a bad mood.

After changing clothes and getting myself together, I came out,

and Sumin, who had finished movie appreciation after-school activities,

was waiting for me in front of the auditorium.

Only after she saw my face did I see Sumin break into a bright smile,

and I suddenly burst into tears.

Sumin was so flustered that she started stammering,

and wiped all my tears away with her hands.

While asking what was wrong and if I was okay,

I was inwardly grateful to Sumin for covering my face while I was crying.

Only after I stopped crying

did I tell Sumin everything that had happened,

and instead of getting even angrier than me, she cursed out Kang Sumin for me.

If it hadn’t been for Sumin,

I probably still wouldn’t have been able to let those feelings go.
