How about a one-shot?

Dreamcore

In this repeated daily routine, I discovered one piece of writing.

"Hello. Do you know how to fall into Dreamcore?
Do you ever feel bored by the repetitive everyday life?
In the world of Dreamcore,
the world is beautiful and peaceful."

Along with the text above, there was
writing about how to fall into Dreamcore.
I tried that method.
It was simpler than I expected: close the toilet and flush
while, at the same time, turning on the sink.
After turning off the sink, go to bed and sleep.

They said that then I wouldn't be able to fall asleep,
and sure enough, I really couldn't. The sound of the water I'd just heard
felt like it was buzzing down through my ears. At the same time, I suddenly
was overcome with drowsiness. I guess it was all just a lie.
Since I had to go to work tomorrow too, I fell asleep.

It felt like only 30 minutes had passed.
When I checked the clock, it was only 10:30, so
I went outside. I was planning to stop by a convenience store.

When I stepped outside, I was bewildered.
It wasn't the world I knew.
After thinking it over at home for a while,
I realized what it was. Because of what I had tried earlier
had I fallen into the world of Dreamcore?
I had always been curious, so in my bag
I packed only the things I needed and decided to go
outside.

After a while, I calmed my shocked heart and went
out.

I think I walked for about 1 hour and 36 minutes.
I had given up, but I could see a person far away.
I ran over.

"You seem to be that person"
"Huh?"
"I have a lot to explain to you"

After talking, I think his name was Taesan? He seemed like a pretty good person.

It turned out that in this world, only when one person
comes in can one person leave.
But even though neither of us planned to leave,
he said his friend had suddenly
left without saying a word. I felt bad for him. This world
doesn't let you feel hunger or pain.

Taesan said he'd been stuck here for a month.
When I told Taesan the method I had used to fall in,
he said it was a method that only lets you fall in for a short time, so if you know the method right now, you can get out too.

When I asked him what the method was, he said there was a condition.

All I had to do was live with him for one week.
I wasn't exactly without doubts, but it seemed better than doing nothing.


I started speaking casually with Taesan, and
after three days of talking a lot
he seemed like an ordinary office worker too.

"How did you end up here?"
"A friend"
"Huh?"
"Because of a friend"

From what he told me, he had fallen into Dreamcore
but he didn't want to fall in; he said he was forced to
because of a friend. The more I heard, the more sorry I felt for him.

On the day a week later, Taesan
really did tell me the method.

I asked if he wasn't lonely being alone, but
he said he was fine. I don't know why.

For that week, not going to work was really nice.
This world is really strange.

When I followed the method Taesan had told me, I really
was able to return home. Even this is now
a story that's almost a year old, but back then that
deep blue sky in Dreamcore, with its unbelievably
beautiful clouds, and the shooting star I saw
once a day, are things I can't forget. Even now, I sometimes think of him

I wonder if Taesan is doing well.
Sometimes I miss Taesan, and when I'm at work I think I shouldn't have come out, but I think I like reality better.
