I have to make sure to tell them it was an amazing youth

Ep1. Hanagyeong & Myeong Jaehyeon

-Hanagyeong
I am Hanagyeong.
My mom and dad say they'll send my older sister to study abroad with the money they'd use to send me to college.
But I really want to go to Seoul National University.
So
I secretly started a part-time job without my parents knowing.
It was really hard to find a place that would take me.
Still, I found one.
The money I've saved now doesn't even cover one semester's tuition.
But I'm still at the age where I can dream, right?

-Myeong Jaehyeon
I am Myeong Jaehyeon.
When I was little, my family was well-off, so I even studied abroad in the U.S.
But my grandmother has been hospitalized for three years because she's so sick, so my mom quit her job, and my dad is covering the hospital bills, so I feel awkward asking for money. But I want to make music.
So to buy equipment, I work at this snack bar on weekdays and also do a parking attendant part-time job on weekends. I'm even a trainee. But I'm worried I won't make it as an idol. Why does my youth feel so miserable?

My explanation for Myeong Jaehyeon is a setting I adapted by mixing facts and my imagination. The sentence about his grandmother being sick~wanting to make music is a setting I adapted from the fact that Myeong Jaehyeon was once financially struggling at home. I also chose a few of the part-time jobs he mentioned and turned them into a setting, and the Hyehwa-dong snack bar, the backdrop of this work, was created with inspiration from 06070's "A shabby restaurant near Hyehwa Station at age twenty". Therefore, the fact that Myeong Jaehyeon worked at a snack bar is also a background I adapted and set.
This is my first novel, so it might feel a little awkward, but I'd really appreciate it if you read it well!
