MERAKI | VOTEN POR BANGTAN

Part 3 (final)

"Sweetheart, take it easy, okay? I don't want you to hurt yourself," his grandmother said, gently stroking his back. It broke her heart to see her grandson like this. He was such a cheerful boy and always made light of things that might upset him.

"I thought you were really coming, Grandma," he said with difficulty between hiccups and finally returned his grandmother's hug.

When the clock struck seven, three knocks on the front door were heard throughout the house.
The old woman placed a kiss on her grandson's temple before going to see who it was. Jimin didn't want to be left alone, so he followed her.

Upon opening the door, a slender woman appeared next to a brown-haired boy, who smiled broadly upon seeing Jimin.

—Hi, Jimin! I'm Jungkook and I wish you a happy birthday—the boy handed him a small box, still smiling, and Jimin, still surprised by the sudden situation, accepted it—, Sorry for taking so long, but my mom and I didn't know what gift you might like—The boy put his right hand to the back of his neck to scratch it embarrassedly.

Jimin felt that warmth fill his chest upon receiving the gift and the presence of that beautiful boy.

"I'm so glad you've come to my grandson's party. Come on, don't wait around, there's plenty of cake to go around." The elderly woman, more than happy, stepped aside to let the guests in.

—Oh, by the way, Jimin... My friends will arrive in about ten minutes. They must have been delayed by traffic.

As Jungkook said, after a few minutes five children arrived with their families, apologizing for not arriving earlier.
Jimin no longer cared that they were late and that less than half the group showed up to the party; none of that mattered as long as he watched the others having fun chatting and forming a nice friendship with Jungkook.

It didn't matter as long as he saw Jungkook nearby and smiling at him.
