The Twenty-Seventh Story
Use meat.
Jungkook walked and walked aimlessly. He just kept walking forward. He felt like even just moving his body would ease his gloomy thoughts. But no matter how much he moved, no matter how hard he ran, the sight of a shooting star kept flickering before his eyes. It seemed like Shin's words had somehow made him feel guilty.
Jungkook kept thinking to himself. If only he hadn't taught Yoosung emotions, if only he hadn't gotten close to him, if only he'd never met him in the first place, then Yoosung could have been reincarnated happily. And the more these thoughts crept into him, the more he found himself drowning in a swamp of guilt. The more he struggled, the deeper he fell into a swamp that was suffocating him.

After wandering aimlessly, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar place. The only thing familiar was the car speeding towards him. In the past, he would have walked far away from the speeding car, but perhaps consumed by depression, he had no time to consider such things. No, perhaps he longed to touch death.

As he was trudging along, a buzzing sound came into Jungkook's ears. The buzzing, pressing against his eardrums and piercing them, tormented him. Grabbing his increasingly aching ear, Jungkook lifted his head. Then, a horn blared from beside him. The buzzing that had tormented Jungkook's eardrums just now seemed to be the sound of a car horn. Perhaps because he was so deeply entrenched in the swamp, the car horn's humming echoed in his ears.
As the car horn grew louder, its shape drew ever closer. He could have dodged it, but for some reason, Jeongguk's legs wouldn't move. It felt like he'd fallen into a swamp, his feet caught in something muddy. That was partly why he couldn't move, but Jeongguk had no will to escape, no will to avoid contact with death.
It seems that the thought of wanting to touch death is embedded in his subconscious.
-
I heard voices from around me telling me to get out of here quickly.
The screeching sound of tires rubbing against asphalt, as if the brakes had been applied, was so loud it felt like my eardrums were going to burst.
The car's headlights approached, blinding Jeongguk.
Jungkook, whose eyes were so dazzled that they hurt, tried to shield them with his arms when he suddenly felt himself lifted up. He then crashed to the ground, excruciating pain and his consciousness fading. Jungkook let out a low groan, feeling something wet touch his head. And then, a pungent, bloody smell drifted into his nostrils.
Normally, in a situation like this, the first thought would be to want to live, but Jeong-gook remained indifferent. The unconscious desire to touch death was so strong that he closed his eyes, his mind slowly fading.
